  5. with regard to the TMC traffic reciever, I believe this effects all 910's and tmc. its down to v7 software. I am having a similar battle with tomtom 4months+ can you let me know how you resolved it? Thanks Mike
  6. Hi all I am looking for some advice, I seem to have lost my way with this one. (No sat nav pun intended) My tomtom 910(£499) stopped charging its battery at the start of November 2007, I contacted tomtom and under warranty they dealt with the repair very rapidly (1 week or so)(My device was sold with a 2 year warranty and at this point it was about 15months old). However when the unit returned from Scotland(Repair centre) it was all working except for the traffic reciever(Plug in module:-£70), Since then following the advice from tomtom I have tried updating and downdating software more times than I care to remember, they have sent me a new traffic reciever and a new windscreen dock. It has been to repair to scotland again and to Holland(Head office) twice!! (4 repairs in total+ time waiting for replacement parts and software) I have written to the chairman to express my disgust with the service recieved, but I am getting nowhere fast. I was advised again by tomtom to change the software out following their instructions, this has now left my device completely dead. Before I call them again and probably get advised to send it back for the fifth time, could someone give me some advice? I think I have been more than fair allowing them to fix it but it is now beyond a joke. Should I think about small claims? they are based in the netherlands will this cause a problem? Please help. Mike
  7. yes of course I will call them I forgot how sneaky they could be.. Thanks

  20. ok paul, Thanks Yes I have done both of those things I sent the letter on the 5th special delivery delivered on the 6th December. I gave them 14 days as per your template. So they should respond with documents by the 20th/21st at the very latest, (Highly unlikely) but I also need to submit ny defence by 26th. I think the MCOL are not online that week. so I will need to post, with the christmas post will this be possible? or have I got it all wrong? Mike
  21. Yes I sent the letter as asked. I have had no documents yet, they would have had the letter on the 5th of december. I am not sure what a cpr letter is?? I am gettign a bit worried becuase I know that with these things timing is everything. I am concerned about missing key dates and with xmas coming. Thanks Mike
  22. Hi, Got a reply from B.C. today not sure what to do next. I had asked for details of a debt they are chasing which we have no record for. link to previously posted thread:- http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collectors-debt-collection/122849-bryan-carter-littlewoods-fredpay.html They say the account is on hold, but I dont trust them. Should I do something else and when do I need to submit something to the court to tell them they havent provided me with the necessary information to defend myself? any help would appreciated. Thanks Mike
  23. ok, so heres an update. got a letter today thanking us for our recent communication and that they have referred the matter to their clients. In the meantime they have placed the account on hold. So I guess this is some sort of stall tactic, I thought they were legally obliged to pass on the file? What should I do now??? Thanks in advance Mike
