That is awesome that they actually did that!

Rather than mess about with TBN's, there is a direct phone number to card services. However i dont know it off the top of my head but your local branch should give it to you.

You spent money, bought things etc and now dont want to pay for them? Is that the gist of it?
-
What is the nature of your enquiry?

Not bad really. Abbey did not lose your mandates, it was done to one person. Humans sometimes make mistakes you know.

Is it not best to clear your mortagage arrears as you could risk losing your home?

Abbey taking money from child benefit, tax credits and housing benefits.

The banks pockets would not be 'padded' if customers did not incur bank charges as you put it. Makes no difference if they are on benefits or earning a wage, if they go overdrawn and bounce cheques etc the bank charge them. -

All banks do this, benefits are source of income like wages are. -
The branch send the paperwork to the bond maturities team at Bradford. All a staff member needs to do is ring the dept up and see what is going on.

This is a joke yes????

Banks can take bank charges from customer on benefits just as they can from a person on wages. The social security act 1992 is often confused over bank charges on current accounts.

Why are you paying your mortgage late?

You borrowed and spent the money so you should pay it back. -
A&L to Abbey is like HSBC to Abbey. They are not cojoined in anyway, this will happen at some point but is not the situation now.

Better than slander and libelous comments...

A contra loan done in Dec 08 will require you to make one last payment. They are correct in saying you do owe one more payment but should have gone about it in a better manner.
-
A&L and Abbey are not joined together they operate on their own. If you bought some jeans from Burtons you could not take them back to Dorothy Perkins could you? "dishonest and criminal establishments" just a tad OTT dont you think?

LOL biases opinion? Unless you are a rabid anti bank, woe is me person, then nobody will debate on here. It was a one way forum.

Sounds like your BM is not good at the job and the SCM for that matter if you not given the right knowledge to do your job. Which region do you work in?

Abbey/Santander have not failed. They made 8.8 billion profit inspite of the turbulent times.

They have new starter acadamies for CSA's at Bradford. Do you not have the buddy system where your buddy PBA can give you coaching and pointers. Your job is not to sell or advise as you do not hold the authorisations to do so, that is the PBA, FPA, CRM, SBA, MA who does that. If you were that 'new to banking' how did you end up with the job? If you not getting the help then you should take it up with your line manager or regional.
