  1. Hi again. Wait till you hear this : A week over the 28 days, i get a letter from nemo. It says as follows ..... I am writing further to our final response letter. At that time you were offered redress on the basis that we believed that you would have bought ppi, but paid a monthly premium rather than a one off premium. This meant that the amount that those monthly premiums would have been was deducted from the repayment made to you under that offer. We have further considered your position, and as a result now intend to put you in the position you would have been in had you not bought any ppi. This means that we would like to increase the amount of redress offered to you and instead offer you full redress in line with FSA guidance. It will result in an additional amount of redress being paid to you over and above the amount you have already accepted. So..... Cheque enclosed for the full amount that i was claiming - £5075 and another cheque for £20 as a gesture of goodwill. Any ideas on why the sudden change of mind by nemo?? I had already returned the acceptance letter for the £3100 offer which they had received and when i spoke to them after the 28 days they told me the cheque for £3100 was ready to be sent out. Very strange.. Good, but strange. Rob

  4. Hi all, After a successful claim against Halifax im now helping a friend with his claim against Barclays. He's received a copy of his statements (looks like microfiche copys) but i cant find any charges on them. Theres periods where hes been overdrawn but theres still no charges listed. Would a charge appear as CHG ? Thanks in advance. Rob
  5. hmmm. sounds like what ive got in front of me. They look like computer print outs. Plenty of times that it shows over drawn in the balance column but no sign of any charges. I'm wondering if theres a overdraft on the account which is why theres no charges showing. I need to speak to the account holder to get some more info. Thanks for help.
  6. ok thanks. Did your duplicate statements list all the charges?
  7. Hi all. Having made a couple of sucessful claims im now trying again on a friends behalf. My claims have been against the Halifax so im new to claiming against Barclays. My friend received a copy of statements but they dont list any of his charges. Just shows transactions and balance. Is there a different SAR letter to send to Barclays or should the standard one in the library be ok? I'm not even sure if he used the SAR letter or just wrote to ask for a copy of his statements. Thanks in advance Rob

Hi, Ive got an £1800 overdraft on my account. Do you think Abbey will want this back before they look at my claim? Im claiming over £1800 but i havent got the money to clear the overdraft. Thanks

    Rob v Abbey.....

Its an Abbey mortgage though, so i'd imagine it has to be paid from an Abbey account?
