  1. Thanks all, I am going to write the letter and take it personally to them.
  2. Hi, This has probably been discussed before, but I could not find any specific answers. I got a PCN on saturday for stopping on a yellow line, which is not continous. The parking person said it was a restricted street with clearly marked signs. So I went looking there was no sign at the begining of the street, but there was one at the end with an arrow pointing in the other direction. I thought this could not be right as the end of the street is one way, so you can't come up the street. I will try to submit pics. But I eventually found the sign notifying of the restrictions. It was on a post at the end a small A4 (landscape size) white background with a single black border. In it was a small no parking symbol and the following wording: Mon - Sat 8am - 6.30pm and an arrow pointing up the street. Now I read the traffic reg on the web which shows what kind of signs and markings should be used for a "controlled parking zone" and none of them were remotley like this one on this street. Could someone please shed some light on this for me? Also the ends of the yellow line have a double yellow marking but at both ends, the t-bars have been painted in the middle of the double yellows. this can't be right? can it? Pics:
