  3. I've just read in the step by step guide that they have 40 days to supply me with the list of charges, so does that mean I have to wait 40 days from the letter before I start bank proceedings ?

  5. Hi to you all, I've recently started a claim against the bank of Scotland... I both a letter - using the template in the library - last Thursday (9th Jan), I asked for all charges to be returned, and a list of all bank charges. I've yet to recieve any kind of reply. How long does it usually take for the bank to get back to you in any kind of way, I said I was giving them 7 days in the letter, or I'd start a court case. I'm wondering if I should send out a final letter, or keep waiting. I sent these letters to the HQ's, however after speaking to my mate who is a financial advisior, he said I should have sent the letters to my branch, with CC at the bottom of the letter, and the address of the HQ. He said this would force the branch to take action as they know HQ is involved.

  13. I've already sent away letters for both accounts, but this has happened after that. Its a joke, why should I have to pay a charge for failing to pay MYSELF ?!
  14. Ok, this is the story. I have 2 bank accounts, one for wages, and one for bills. On a friday when I get paid I have a standing order of £150 from the wages account to the bills account. However, I went online and transfered the £150 manually, therefor  e the standing order failed as there wasn't enough funds in the wages account. So I had a lovely letter this morning informing me that I have been charged £39 for this. I've been th the bank, they say its not a bank error so they wont reverse it, the phone bank has also stated this. There is no way I am paying for transfering my own money. I need help and I need it now !
