  1. CAB told me to go to the law centre for advice and they are shut for training for the next 7 days! Im going to send a letter directly to Bristow suitor to state my payment plan arrangement, im really panicing now
  2. Hi all, Im new to this site and hope I get as much advice as Possible. I had a payment plan to clear off my council tax for 2005 at 50.00 per month, this was done with the baliffs initially, they came to my house listed the items in my house and assured me as long as my payment plan was kept nothing would happen. after reading all the threads I know realise that was a dumb thing to do. A couple of months ago my bank/lloyds tsb charged me hideously with bank charges therefore leaving my account overdrawn affecting my direct debits subsequently my council tax repayments. I rang Bristow and suitor (baliffs) to explain why i had defaulted however i sopke to a very rude lady who told me there was nothing I could do as I had broken my arrangement. last week I had a knock on the door from the baliffs who left a letter stating: A BALIFF REMOVAL TEAM VISITED TODAY TO REMOVE YOUR GOODS FOR SALE BY AUCTION, the initial charge for todays visited amounted to £180.00 The total now due and payable is £930.00 In order to prevent the removal of your goods you must contact the baliff immediatley on....... The letter also stated that if i failed to pay the sum today, my goods may be removed in my absence!!! I rang the baliff and spoke to him saying i could not make the full payment, he bluntly told me the best he could do was put the account on hold for 2 weeks. Im seeing the citizens advice tomorrow hoping they can help me in anyway. To make matters worse Im a student and really have not got that type of money to hand. I really do not know what to do..... Any advice anyone please? Much appreciated
