  1. UPDATE. Myself and the other colleague who is suspended have had our investigative meetings which we both prepared statements separately and give them as our evidence, we were ask a couple of questions and the meeting was over within 10 minutes, I went to sign the minutes from the meeting and discovered they had altered what I said to look like I was guilty, I refused to sign it until it was altered to what I said. My colleagues minutes were also wrong and needed altering, can we now get a solicitor involved to sue them for constructive dismissal?
  2. To reply to some of your questions: During all of the meetings no option was given to have someone present and as far as I am aware no minutes were taken. ALL the fitters weigh in the scrap from any job they do, it is in the company terms and conditions that all scrap is the property of the company. The money involved with myself and 2 colleagues was about £30 every 3-4 months, the fitters will get that possibly ever week.
  3. I'm was suspended on full pay from work on friday 14/10/11, this was done in a one on one meeting with the business owner who handed my a letter of suspension and said he'd be in touch. Myself and 2 other co-workers are accused of stealing scrap copper from the business and weighing it in. The scrap we obtained was given to us by the companies gas/bathroom fitters as a "get yourselves a drink" gesture. The owner interviewed the 3 of us 11/10/11 seperately and we all told him the same story of what was going on and that all the fitters for the company weigh in the scrap. During this meeting he asked he I felt he bullied me during my working for him? I answered that I felt this was the case and he stated that he had every right to bully me due to my work performance even though I had an appraisal just under a month ago and was told my performance was fine and to just right down more notes. On the 14/10/11 another meeting was organised without my knowledge in which myself and my line manager were suspended but the other person involved was allowed to carry on working. In my letter it states I have to make themself available during working hours to attend meetings, do I need to be given prior notice of any meeting or can they be called at a moments notice? Also, the owner made up stories about comments that were made during the first meting to try and get information, can he do this? Last question, I may be offered another job with another company in the next couple of days. Can I resign my current job and accept the new position? Or, can the owner reject my resignation? Thank you for any help you can give me.
  4. This is my first post which is a bit long but it has all the points in there, the car in question is a RENAULT MEGANE SCENIC 1.6 S REG with 85000 on the clock. I bought a second hand car from a local dealer on the 14/05/07, I had had the car checked by a local garage not far from the dealer who found some fault that the dealer said he would sort out, which to my knowledge he has. The problem started on the morning of 15/05/07 when the head gasket blew on my way to work, I returned the car to the dealer and at the time also reported a squeaking coming from the passenger side front wheel, he said he would look at that while the head gasket was repair. The car was returned on the 18/05/07, the dealer said he could find nothing wrong with the wheel and that it was proably dirty in the brakes and see how it goes. When I drove the car home I noticed one of the engine tappet was loud which it wasn't before it went in for repair. The noise from the wheel got worse and developed into a knocking noise so I took the car again to a local garage who said the noise was coming from the wheel bearing or the CV joint. I took it back to the dealer on the 05/06/07 and told him what the garage had said and was told to return the car on the 08/06/07 for repair which I did. I got it back on the same day and drove away, the noise had gone. on the 11/06/07 after a weekend away in the car covering 160 miles the noise was back as bad as ever. I have taken it back to the dealer today 12/06/07 with a list of everything I have noticed wrong and have been told to return the car on the 14/06/07 for repair, the dealer does seem to be getting a bit irriated with seeing the car again. Thats as far as I have got, I'm really at my wits end with this, I have two children who have to be taken to places and borrowing cars from people isn't ideal. What rights do I have? and what should I do next. Should I contact the previous owner and ask them what the car was like?
