  1. Bought a dining room suite from john peters in Jsanuary, arrived without its legs, but they came back with them but didn;t assemble it, left table top on floor on a piece of foam. when we turned it over there were a couple of deep scratches , small but deep. Sent photos to JP and they sen French polisher to inspect - he reported due to wood shrinkage, not repairable, they rang to say did I want discount or replacement. I said replacement, they said fine, - then a week or two later they went into administration. The co was bought out so orders are being honoured, but have yet to see if I'll get my new table. Have written to ask administrators, and said if not then I am rejecting the suite and want them to collect it and cancel credit agreement. (Buy now pay Jan 08 so havne't paid anything except £250 deposit yet) I can then hopefully get the £250 back from credit card. Does this sound right tactics - any other suggestion ?? Thanks
  2. I bought a corner unit 3 years ago and after a year one of the cushions had gone really flat (the one in the corner that took all the stick!!) Phoned DFS and they sent out an upholsterer, who took it to bits in my lo9jn ge and put extra foam filling in it. It's been fine since. hope this helps .
  3. Fantastic News! Fingers crossed i get a similar letter b4 my date on 11th July!
  4. Hi folks I have a court date with Abbey on 11th July. I'm so grateful for the help and info on this site, and am working hard to get my court bundle sorted. I closed my account in 2005 with them and the charges go back to 2001-2, and amount to £1200 altogether. My son got £2k back from Lloyds TSB, and his girlfriend's mum got over £4k back. If I win mine and my daughter wins hers, our family will have got over £10k back! Thanks so much once again!
  5. Hi - I'm new on here too, and am in the same situation as you, mine is in Doncaster on the 11th July against Abbey. Have a browse around- look under the thread for your bank and you'll find everything you need. You need to prepare a court bundle - the basis of which is on this site but it's quite strict how you put it all together and it will need some effort. I've been pulling it all together for a few hours now! but according to everything you read it works! Good luck.
