I contact the Halifax on the 7th June requesting copies of my bank statements for the past five years I had my account with them . The man on the phone was really helpful and said there was an eight week wait for statements so instead of doing that he could ask (I think he said the ligitation department ) to go through my charges and then write out ot me with what they were and an offer of repayment , he said this would also take 8weeks but misses out step one . I thought that sounded like a good plan so I did . I have received a letter today - bog standard saying all charges were relevent and part of their terms and conditions etc so they stood . I now however have no idea how much my charges were , do I need to start again from the very begining and request my statements or have I blown it ? Ruthie - roo
