  1. I've been set to issue a court claim against barclays due to them completely ignoring my LBA, however, with the recent test case and banks beginning to fight this i don't want to be left having to foot any large costs myself at the risk of losing the case. What would any of you suggest, do i just continue with the court claim or wait until the smoke is cleared? Or would it be worth ringing the bank to try and settle? Any help would be great as i feel like i'm in limbo at the moment
  2. Barclays have ignored my letter before action, is it now time to commence court proceedings? This is the scary bit i suppose!
  3. Will do. Thanks for your help trucker.
  4. Yeah i included the list of charges that i'd incurred during that period without including any interest at that stage which is correct i believe? I sent the letter on 23rd May and received my reply a week later so the 14 days have gone.
  5. Hi Trucker Yes i have sent the letter asking for my charges back, and was sent what seems to be a standard letter back saying 'sorry to hear you are unhappy............we will try to rectify it within 4 weeks when we give you an update, but the process may take around 8 weeks although endoevering to fix it asap. The usual spiel. So having trawled the forum it seems the LBA is the next step to take, or am i jumping the gun a little? Thanks
  6. I have the template, is this the stage where i include the 8% interest? Where do i find the overdraft interest, is this on my statements? Sorry if i sound thick!
  7. Hi everyone I have sent a letter requesting my statements within the 40 days and Yorkshire Bank have now sent around 3 letters in reply saying how busy they are and will get round to it as soon as they can. I originally wrote this mid-march! The thing is i don't know how much i am owed or couldn't even hazard a guess, does anyone know what i can do now?? Thanks
  8. Hello everyone Having sent my 2nd letter to Barclays reclaiming my charges within 14 days, they have replied with a letter saying along the lines of 'sorry to hear that you are unhappy bla bla bla, due to the time involved we will contact you in 4 weeks as an update with our progress and try to resolve the issue as a whole within 8 weeks' Does anyone know what i should do next?
