  1. Many thanks everyone for your list of documents that I would need to take on 25th however, I will now not need to attend! Received letter today from Abbey advising they were raising a cheque in full and final settlement of my claim and would be advising the court likewise. For the record I will receive £4,951.61 (inc. interest and court costs). Good luck everyone, am sure you will all receive your letter soon!
  2. Also I added the statutory 8% interest to my claim on my original schedule, should I now be adding further interest on a daily basis?
  3. My meeting is on 25th July - can someone please give me a list of exactly what I need to take and where to find it, I keep going round and round in circles and I would like to turn up fully prepared but just keep getting confused with what is relevant to me? I didn't send any of my letters enclosing schedles by recorded delivery just normal post, but assume Abbey have received them as they have prepared defence, corresponded with me re them and have never claimed not to have received them despite me referring to them in the letters. I haven't sent a copy of the letters to the court at all, thought Abbey would have enclosed a copy - bit paniced now - should I do this urgently? HELP
  4. Have just read the threat inamuddle suggested. It seems that most banks are offering a settlement prior to the Allocation meeting and if not then when you get to court the Judge advises that the bank have agreed to settle. Thanks for posting this link, it has cheered me up:D . Read Bankfodders comments but think I am being a bit thick and need to re-read them several times as still didn't understand what I need to take with me! It appears you are only allocated 5 mins with the judge anyway. Have Abbey contacted any of you that have 17th date? I think a number of the people who hadn't been contacted by their bank on the other thread, rang their bank to remind them of their approaching date and they e-mailed them with a settlement offer? As mentioned, my date is the 25th at 14:00pm. Good luck eveyone!
  5. I have finally found the right thread that shows most of you in the same position as me! I've probably bored so many people in other threads! My case has been transferred to Southend and the Allocation and Case Management Conference is on 25th July at 14:00pm. I'm assuming this isn't actually a court date, do we need to take anything along with us, it doesn't say so on the letter? Will be eagerly awaiting news of the 17th July meeting. Is this the first date for meetings of this kind? Northampton advised that the AQ had been dispensed unless transfer court advises otherwise. Haven't had any correspondence with Abbey since 30th May when they sent me a copy of their defence. I might e-mail them to try for early settlement, what you think?
  6. Don't know why but Abbey seem to be treating me slightly differantly and I can't find anyone else in the same position as me with Abbey only with Barclays. My case has been transferred from Northampton to Basildon and now to Southend. Have received the following letter: "Upon Courts own initiative TAKE NOTICE that the Allocation and Case Management Conference will take place on 25th July at 14:00pm at Southend County Court to be heard before District Judge Dudley when you should attend. PLEASE NOTE: This case may be released to another judge, possibily at a different court." I don't think this is my actual court date? It doesn't say I need to bring anything? Northampton Court previously advised that the AQ had been dispensed of unless transferred court orders otherwise. I really don't know what to expect on 25th, is anybody out there in the same position with Abbey, please help! I'm also confused as to whether I should write to Abbey re settlement again or try the N159 route or Part 12 route - I don't know if they are applicable to my case?
  7. Keep going through The Abbey Threads but can only find people in my position who are with Barclays (I'm probably not looking the right place!). I have been transfered from Northampton to Basildon and now to Southend. It reads: "Upon courts own initiative TAKE NOTICE that the Allocation and Case Management Conference will take place on 25th July 2007 at 14:00pm at Southend County Court to be heard before District Judge Dudley when you should attend. PLEASE NOTE: this case may be released to another Judge, possibly at a different court". It doesn't mention if I need to take anything with me, no mention of a court bundle. Really don't know what to do now? Haven't written to Abbey to try and settle out of court yet, but have noted that a number of other threads that this tact is being rejected. Help if you can, please!
  8. Hi all, Have received general form of judgement order showing that my case has been moved from Basildon to Southend and that the Allocation and Case Management Conference will take place on 25th July at 2pm to be heard by District Judge Dudley and that I should attend It doesn't say that I need to bring any documentation with me. On previously correspondence from Basildon cc they copied Northampton cc letter advising that the AQ be dispensed with in this case unless the District Judge at the court of transfer order otherwise. I have not received any further correspondence re an AQ so assume it is not required nor a fee is payable? Are any of you in the position? I got confused earlier and was looking at a Barclays thread, and a large number of their cases have been transferred to Southend to be heard on 17th July. Will they be treated the same as those against Abbey? Not sure what my next step should be; write to Abbey to try and reach settlement out of court? Send a N149 form as above (not sure if applicable to me)? Send a Part 12 letter as seen in a different thread(again not sure if applicable to me)? Or just wait for the Case Management Date? HELP!!!!
  9. Was reading Barclays thread: Allocation hearing-southend-ANYONE ELSE??and they have all also been transferred to Southend. Has anyone got their Case Management meeting prior to 25th July with Abbey?
  10. Sorry think I was reading another thread as having just read back through this one and it appears a number of you have tried e-mailing Abbey.
  11. Hi all, am so glad this forum is here as worry everytime I receive a new letter until I come on here and see everyone else is in a similar boat! Didnt' receive any correspondence re 27th June, somehow they missed me out of that loop completely, instead they have gone straight in with the General form of judgement or order from Judge Dudley that the Allocation and Case Management Conference will take place on 25th July at 2pm and that I need to attend. Will be watching this space eagerly to see how you all do on the 17th - good luck! Not sure whether to write to Abbey in the meantime to try for settlement out of court? Have any of you tried this tact yet?
  12. Or should I be corresponding with Abbey now?
  13. Was just reading the conncat vs abbey (link shown in amethystrdragon reply above) thread. Think we need to wait for a court date and Abbey's AQ then send a letter/e-mail to attempt to negotiate a full settlement out of court?
  14. Have also received letter from Nothampton Court saying it is being transferred to my local court. Again appears same letter as Colpac - says the allocation questionnaire be dispensed of unless the District Judge rules otherwise. Still awaiting court date etc.
  15. Lula, thanks for responding to one of my other threads. Where do I go on this site to find out what I need to put in my court bundle?
