  1. See here for details of a land mark case in the South West:- Dorset Echo - News, Sport, Homes, Jobs, Cars and Local Information in Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester H
  2. Un1boy, To clarify a point above. Up to and including £15000, a 'second charge' finance company does NOT need to get the permission of the principal mortgage company. Just gone through this personally. My mortgage service company denied me the ability to secure a second charge for more than this figure as I have had arrears in the last 3 months on the mortgage account. Millstone Mortgage Services of High Wycombe are certainly not my Preferred mortgage Company! Lol Had to reduce my further borrowing and plough ahead! Heyho. H
  3. Hi, I bought an O2 Exec pda/Phone via a Third Party Online Company, turned out to be worse than useless, took it into an O2 shop, got a receipt and a basic loan phone (They wanted me to pay a deposit, told them what to do with their deposit! Lol.) They replaced the phone at their cost. This happened three times - until I told them to keep the third rubbish Exec pda and just give me a phone that I could make a phone call with. Whilst the pda was rubbish, their service was good, albeit slow. H
  4. Postpersons are employed by Royal Mail Group plc and as such they are subject to the same civil liabilities as everyone else. Crown immunity and the like went out with Maggie Thatcher's privatisations and the like. Lol This is just a conventional civil matter based on balance of probability - Good luck with the case! H
  5. A couple of bullit points! What happned to the six year statute of limitations? Corporate cards are, in the main, not credit underwritten, but are supplied on request to the employee on request with an undertaking for the employee to indemnify the employer in respect of correct use. I had a corporate card from Company Barclaycard with a ddm from my own account. The one time the ddm 'bounced', Company Barclaycard collected the amount automatically from my employer and I had to compensate them! As not underwritten and requested by the employer there will NOT normally be a credit agreement! H
  6. BBC Watchdog did an article on this a year or so back, it is not just motor cycle entitlements that have disappeared, but HGV entitlements as well! So if you are a professional driver, check your licence and if it has disappeared, worth speaking with your Transport Manager to see if he/she holds an old copy on file! See this link from another forum for snippets from the BBC Watchdog report http://www.bikersadvice.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34 I trust OK to post? Poor celebrations in beer manufacturing factories springs to mind! H
  7. How were premiums paid? By direct debit (Reference number on a bank statement) or by a payment book at the door (Policy number must be shown in the front of the book). Insurance Company might well be able to do a postcode/name search. Are you the Administrator/Eecutor of the estate? H
