Thanks Barty, I have read your link (most of it, saving the final hearing bit for later) and it is very useful. The arguments seem quite clear cut for allocation hearings but I cannot claim to be "under 5K" as my claim is over 10k including interest, will the judge insist on multi or fast track solely due to the higher amount? The argument that the court process should be fair for each party still stands as I certainly do not have the resources of LTSB to pay costs should I (God forbid) lose!!!! Tks for your help, I think I am panicking unnecessarily and my brain has turned to mush, there seems to be so much to take on board!!!!!!!!!!!!!:o scrimfam.

Hi, I have been waiting for ages for a letter from my local county court after Moneyclaim online told me I was being transferred. Finally it came a few days ago but it is not a proper court date, it is an allocation hearing to determine which track I will be allocated. It also mentions trying to group together other people who are suing the same bank so that the bank's representative can do a few of us all on the one day! My main question is, do I hv to prepare a court bundle for this date or will it only be a few preliminary questions. I am petrified as I am due a large sum (over 10k if I get it) and hv already shelled out £250 in court costs which I could ill afford - I don't want to ruin it by being ill-prepared!!! someone pleeeaaase help! gratefully, scrimfam.

Hi, I am new to this website and have browsed a few sections before asking a lot of stupid and obvious questions! However, I think I may need a bit of dadvice as to which document or posts to study next... I started an action against Lloyds TSB on Moneyclaim online and because the bank has now entered a defence this will transfer to my local court - I have received a letter from Moneyclaim to this effect but no letter from local court or any sign of a date yet. My question is, should I now start studying what I need to prepare and my own defence or send a "nudge letter" to Ltsb's solicitors to see if they will settle before then. My claim is a large one (over 10k) and I am starting to get paranoid about what will happen if we lose. I have already paid a large fee to moneyclaim on my already groaning credit card.
