1. I have actually managed to get n/wide to refund my court costs and SAR fees after numerous phone calls and being passed from dept to dept, finally got put through to a very helpful Jill Keasley from the collection dept who asked me to supply her with a copy of receipt for court costs and number of cheque for SAR fee, posted them and the next day got a phone call from Jill saying that she is going to arrange for me to go into my local branch on saturday morning and collect money owed to me. I have just filled in my next N1 form for another claim against n/wide and i have made sure that i put on the POC that court costs and SAR fee are returned to me.

Dont know what to do about default notice

I have spoken to a Jill at nationwide collections dept today who has agreed to pay back my court costs and sar £60 i need to send a copy of court cost receipt and details of sar cheque to her by fax then they will arrange a withdrawal from my local branch. but i dont think they will remove default notice
5. Midge61 thanks for your reply I asked for default removal on all correspodance with n/wide and court form. I just wanted court costs and data protection fee returned £60 the rest was to go towards paying of debt debt is not cleared still £400 to pay, which i am paying monthly through Fredricksons Debt Cllectors Can i still proceed with court process if they dont repay cheque and remove default
6. Please somebody help me I have just got off the phone with n/wide, they have paid my charges and court costs into account which is still open, with a debt collection agency i specifically asked for court costs and data protection money to be returned to me by cheque which they havent done. the woman i spoke to this am basically said i wont get cheque, money has gone to pay debt, they wont remove default on my credit file and there is a difference between what nationwide paid and what interest calculator say i am owed only about £20. so i told her that i would carry on with the court process so she said go ahead, iam a worried now What should i do please advise anybody as i have to return defence form back to the court by 03/08/2007

8. Hi everyone I have taken n/wide to court and they have paid money back into my account, which is closed and with a debt collection agency, i asked for my court costs and data protection fee returned to me by cheque, but n/wide have told me its gone to pay of debt i disagree with this as court costs and data fee are nothing to do with the debt. i have written to them asking them to pay court cost back to me or i will proceed with court case. my question is can i do this if they refuse to send me a cheque
9. i would like some advice please Nationwide have paid my claim + court costs back into my account, as this account is with debt collection agency i have no access to this account. Nationwide rang me yesterday and i asked about geting court costs back have basically been told thats gone to pay off debt, i think this is wrong as charges are part of my debt, court costs are nothing to do with my debt, so surely they must return money to me. I still have the Notice of defence that amount claimed has been paid (N236) form and have not signed and returned it i have till the 3rd Aug so should i proceed with claim because they wont return court costs, slight difference in what i am owed and what they paid and also asked default notice to be withdrawn from my credit file. do i have a case to continue court procedings. Please any advice from anyone whose had a similar problem [[email protected]?subject=Reporting post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=5762632]
10. hi everyone Mr stephens did ring me on the thursday and was supposed to ring me on the friday and didnt. I have emailed eversheds telling them that there some points that i require sorting out first before i accept. 1: court costs returned to me by cheque 2: difference in the amount of my claim and what they say they owe me 3: default notice removed removed from credit file 4: their defence form states that this is the last money owed by defendent to the claimant, but i have two more claims in progress at the moment. One claim is a joint one and my ex wife is proceeding with that one, the other is my account and all monies need to be paid to me not off outstanding debt on the other accounts
11. Hi Everyone just received payment for obscene bank charges. Nationwide amount claimed £379.48 Amount Paid £409.19 First letter requesting statement of charges sent 19/04/2007 Third letter requesting they refund charges and interest sent 03/05/2007 Took form N1 to local court on 03/06/2007 Defendant filed an Acknowledgement of service on 07/06/2007 On the 11/07/2007 received "Notice of defence that amount claimed has been paid" saying money was paid into account on 28/06/07. I am now trying to get my court fees returned to me as i asked, money was paid into account which is with debt recovery agency and i have no access to, so phone nationwide solicitors ask about my court fees back was given number for N/wide refunds phoned them was told i needed to spea k to collections dept so i ring them and i am told i need to speak to Branch Service Centre but they dont receive phone calls you have to write to them. So i phoned n/wide call centre again explained my problem so she spoke to someone at the branch service centre on my behalf about getting my court fees refunded, so i have been given a name Christian Stephen and he is supposed to give me a ring and discuss refund this pm before 15:30. :o
