  1. Hi Pt2537, Your brother in law doesn't live in Ealing by any chance does he? I have the exact same problems with not been allowed a residents permit even tho I am a resident of my street!! I too have to use those c**ppy scratch cards!! (Which cost me money - and makes more profit for the council!) I think this is a terrible position to be in and believe me I've had a number of tickets outside my own house, even on a Sunday morning! When you've been scr*wed by the council a few times your brother will NEVER forget those tickets! As for the road markings if they are not correctly presented defo take it to PATAS. I had a issue with the 'Royal' Borough of Kensington and Cheslea and I had an unlawful clamping fee of £115.00 returned because of unclear and none conformance road markings!! Go for it!!!!!!
  2. Hi Guys, I arrived back from my holidays earlier this week and noticed I only had one cheque left in my Abbey Cheque Book. The bank usually send new books out automatically but strangly this time they did not. I called 08459 724 724 and spoke to a sercond rate t*at who was rude with a terrible attitude who held me on the phone for 25 minutes while he tried to order me a cheque book. He finally came back on the phone and told me that I had a STOP for cheque books on my account and that the system would not allow him to order me another cheque book. He gave me the number of Abbeys underwriters who apparently could take off this stop. I wasn't happy so I grilled the bank t*at a little more and guess what? ? ? . . . . It turns out that I can't have a cheque book because I've started a claim to get me unlawful bank charges returned. As you can imagine I was fuming by this point so ended the call with the rude t*aw and called the underwritters as suggested. They told me that they had nothing to do with this and then promply cut me off!!! So now in anger I called up the complaints department who told me there was nothing they could do (I'd spend almost two hours on the phone by this point!). The guy wouldn't even start a new complaint about this! The cheek! A complaints department which doesn't accept compaints! So I sent of my LBA and included a paragraph about the cheque book stop and I'm still moving forward with my claim - sod the t*ss*rs I'm going all the way now - I wouldn't mind but my charges amount is only in the lower hundreds so I'm not exactly asking for alot to be returned. . . . I will certainly never recommend Abbey to anyone again and in fact I will tell people how s*itty and grabbey they really are! Sorry for the language but I'm angry, has this happened to one else? and is there anything I can do? Any help or comments welcome - Thank You :o( A very p*ss*d off Madkid!!!!!!!!
  3. Jen 78, It's good to know that we're not on our own! Keep fighing - it will be worth it in the end I'm sure !! !! !! Another trick by Abbey, when I called them today and told them about non complience the lady (Sheena) was almost laughing as she spoke to me! What was funny? I wonder?

    S.A.R - Abbey

Hi Guys, I just wondered if anyone is having the same experience as I am with Abbey and the quality of Information supplied. I started to receive the Microfiche information as requested starting from 01-2001 to 02-2004 great news! Then the information stopped and I started to recieve resent statements for the last years. This left a gap in my information of about two years from 02-2004 through to 06-2006. This gap according to Scabby is covered by a ' Summary Spreadsheet of Charges' which they have produced. But according to this summary I didn't have a single bank charge in those 'missing' two years. Now I know full well that I was charged during this period (I have a sneeky suspicion that I was hammered by Scabbey!). So I have written to Abbey again with the template letter from here about Abbey not meeting the requirements of the S.A.R. The interesting thing is also in the letter from Abbey about this summary it states right at the end 'Please note charges which have been written off by the bank will not be included in this summary'. What does this mean? My understanding of written off ment that the bank didn't charge me? But my summary also includes refunds that I have had in the past year or so. I guess I'll have to wait until I get the microfiche information and then I will know the truth. ( edited ) Regards Jon

But I do feel this is yet another trick used by the Scabbey team (and Pam - I'm not really bothered Speed) to make people believe that no charges have been applied to their accounts when infact they have been charged and are now the charges are been covered up by Scabby so we can't claim them back!!! DISGUSTING!!! !!! !!! !!! BEWARE - Abbey are well and truely untrustworthy Scabs! (apologies for errors -quickly typed this message while at work!!) Regards Jon
  7. Hi Guys, I've finally received some information from Abbey (requested under S.A.R) but with parts still missing. I wondered if you guys had received the same kind of bundle. I received about three years worth of plain print outs. Very basic no running totals just a list of transactions and strangely I cannot see any charges within these 3 years!! This feels very strange to me as I remember been hammered by Abbey during those years, but according to these print outs I only paid 1 x £30.00 charge in three years. I feel that something isn't right here, have Abbey altered / amended the information or left bits out? What does the information you guys recieved look like? Is it a small printout on a blank Abbey letter head? I'm very concerned about! Any advise help or information on what I am looking at would be most helpful. Really the information Abbey have provided me is way below the standard I would of expected! Help please . . . . .
  8. Hi guys, Just a quick question, I've sent off my S.A.R and it was delivered (recorded delivery) on the 18th of this month. But I've not heard a peep out of Abbey yet, no letter of acknowledgement or anything. So I called them up at the beginning of the week and spoke to a young man named Kay, who did confirm that my S.A.R had been received and informed me that because I had rang in and confirmed the request that he could now push the request forward to a special internal 'Data Protection Team' who are dealing with these requests. I was wondering has everybody else not received an initial acknowledgement letter? And should I be worried? If your in the same position as me why not ring Scabbey on 0870 607 60 00 and get them to 'push' your request along too. . . . . . Kind Regards J
  9. Hi Guys, I'm J, I've just joined the forum yesterday and have sent off my Rights of Access request to the 'Scabby' so here is were the fun begins. I hope you will all join and help me on my journey to taking back the cash that has been stolen from me. I think these faceless banks are corporate **** and I'm hoping to kick their a*ses in court if needs be!! !! Just a quick question for now. . . Does the 40 days responce period under rights of access request start from the date of my Data Access letter or the day of the letters delivery? I would like to start it from my letter's date! but can I? Thanx for reading and taking part in this 'Scabbey Experience'. Regards J (Scott thank you for telling me to move this thread to the Abbey forum!!)
  10. Hi Scott, Thanx for replying so quickly, O believe me I've been reading anything and everything on Scabby in the forums, the F.A.Qs etc, and I've just picked the ball up myself and I'm going to run with it right up til the end - winning back my cash!! I do have already two years worth of statements that I've kept myself so if Scabby starts being dodgy and delaying then I'll simply split my claim into two and start the ball rolling with court that way. Thank you for answering my question Scott. As soon as I've got anymore info I'll update this thread. Regards J
