I have received a letter from the Abbey this morning with a copy of their defence filed with the court, however they are also ofering me as a matter of goodwill 65% of my claim which is £203.00. I know that my claim for bank charges isn't that much compared to some people that have put in claims for refunds. My total claim was for 312.00 including chargse and interest. What do you all think, should I accept or carry on with my case?

Hi Everyone, I have just received my standard letter from Abbey saying that the charges they have made to my account are lawful and within their terms and conditions etc., and I should contact the financial ombudman if I am still not satisfied. Reading through the various stages I think I now need to go and start my court proceeding. I want to do it all online if possible, can someone direct me to the appropriate site and tell me what fees I will need to pay (the claim is for under £500), and what time scale I should expect. Should I also open a new bank account with a different bank?
