  2. We both got the standard BS Barclays letter today. Not obliged to supply information..blah blah...copy statements..blah blah...no charge on this occasion...blah blah ad infinitum. As with a lot of people on the forum, Barclays seem to be trying to buy time and muddy the waters. They are sending us our statements though, and they've sent the £10 back, so that's something. Can't wait to tot up how much money we've been charged over the last few years.
  3. Thanks for the tip John - we do have an account with a different bank, so if Barclays get nasty it won't do them any good :grin:
  4. Hello all, my partner and I have been inspired by this website and everyone's stories to give Barclays the kick up the backside they so richly deserve. We're both in the situation of living off our overdrafts, and the charges just make things worse and ensure we can never really stand a chance of paying them off! First letter requesting statements being sent recorded delivery first thing tomorrow. I am really looking forward to taking this as far as it needs to go...after all, we all get scarier things than a few snotty letters from some bank manager free with our cornflakes.
