  4. Hi I am having serious problems with my council tax. I had been on a weekly payment plan in December I received a letter saying I had missed payments after I looked into this I sent the council a letter with bank statements showing the payments leaving my bank for the dates the council had given me as unpaid. Then in Jan I received an attachment of earnings order despite my letter with bank statements. The Attachment was for £374.But my balance now should be £274.20 I have spoke to the council by phone & had sent them my wage slips with the attachment going out so they chased my employer, which he paid & is paying after I received a pre bailiff visit letter in May I have now had 2 rossendales letters posted in my letter box for £323. for the AOE & one for £1133. Which is for this years bill which was at £1032.00, which I have been trying to set up a payment plan with the council for but they refused my payment offers. I am now at a loss with them I have been in tears on the phone & I am getting nowhere. I have also been sitting with a possible MS diagnosis & the stress from the debt chasing is taking its toll Is it true they can’t refuse payment ? Any advice is greatly appreciated Copier
  5. Thanks Kurvaface apologies for my spelling errors in the first post was rushing a bit the other neighbours want them out aswell everyone is very fed up at least 8 or 9 of us households & a business, there is a police presence a lot of the time, i might take advise from the police & see if an asbo is possible, they are very well known drug dealers. I just wondered if we all wrote to the landlord & there was some tenancy law that we could point out to him he would be more persuaded to take action, i think i will speak to the police again i know they are very frustrated with the situation aswell
  6. Hi our neighbour who currently rents the property next door has been dealing drugs since they have moved in, there has been two drug busts by the police over the xmas period & a constants barrage of people coming & going all times of the day.TBH it's a complete knightmare. The landlord has been informed & is aware they are selling heroin, he was informed on the drug dealing by ourselves & other neighbours & he confirmed the police had found heroin in the property, he also basically told us that he was not renewing there tenancy agreement. the police are very aware what is going on & it's an onward going investigation so they keep telling us, unfortunaltly i have found out that the landlord has renewed their tenancy. Sorry could someone edit the thread title to drug dealing tenants please thx surely there must be some sort of tenancy law that the landlard has to comply with in regards to the drug dealing & protection of other residents? needless to say there are a few of the neighbours really unhappy with the landlords decision to renew the agreement could anyone point me in the right direction for advise thanks Copier

Hi & thanks GG No aq yet, with the charges being higher than the claim from hc do i have to reclaim or will this be dealt with by the judge? no i am not going to agree to the consent order after the brush off when i tried to settle with them still trying to get scanner sorted to get my docs up hopefully today Thanks Copier
  10. Hi update on whats happening had reply from my sar & a letter from hc Last week Hc Letter we now write to confirm that in an effort to bring this matter so conclusion without the necessity of further costs or court action or further court action our client is prepared to accept payments of the outstanding balance by the way of monthly payments under a consent order which will avoid the entry of a court judgment being registered we can confirm that a consent order is an agreement without a ccj being made between the claiment & yourself therefore there will be no public info registered against you upon the ccj register in respect of this claim i also receive some statements but quite a few were missing both from the sar & HC u have total of £285.00 in charges from the statements ( HC claim for £230) also santander also say default notices are system generated letter which are sent automatically & we do not hold copies i have some docs which were in with the statements which say default notice which i will hopefully be able to scan tomorrow there is no dates or remedy dates on these but i would be grateful if someone could have a look for me also the court inform the case has been stayed as the solictors had not responded in time what happens now, should i still expect an aq & are the charges taken into account at court ? Thanks Copier
