Hi all, Barclaycard has today written saying they will credit the account with the balance of charges claimed which is good news - another one sorted!

Hi all, any advice would be appreciated - I have now recieved small GOGW credits on both barclaycard accounts that I am claiming on. I want to go for the rest is there any point in writing to them again before I commence MCOL or shall I just go for it? It's not a huge amount so I'm hoping they will settle. Is the POC format the same as for bank charges? Also if an account is sold on to a collection agency after a GOGW but before the MCOL stage on a credit card (not barclaycard) should the defendant be the credit card co. who controlled the original debt and charges or the collection company. Abbey refunded the majority of last month's charges but sadly Chester CC has agreed to their request for a stay - any advice please? Or, do I just have to growl and bear it?

As you all predicted egg have now settled for the amount I said I would accept and have been very easy to deal with which is a relief.

I had the same letter yesterday - I think it depends on the court. I have writen to the CC asking that if they are considering a stay to list it so that I can oppose in person... I wrote to Abbey and told them the same thing and suggested they settle now... who knows what will happen?!

Have today received abbey's letter about the OFT case advising me that my claim is likely to be stayed on their application - is there any merit in me writing to the court saying that I would request a hearing to oppose any such application? Anyone else at this stage?

Chester CC just sent me a date in October so it seems to be carrying on regardless.....

Have sent it off - amazingly got offer to settle today for first half of my claim which is just over £100. Egg has offered me £4. Do you think it's an error is egg serious?!

Finally got a court date for the end of October.... any tips on trying to get abbey to settle early - I have had it with them - charged £35 this month for paying a £1.23 visa debit and another £35 for not paying a £10 cheque - then on the same statement another £35 for paying it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hi all, I've now received the rest of my statements from egg. I've had no further response from them about the claim I started for the years worth of statements I was able to get on-line so I'm going to add the two together and file with MCOL.....

Still not heard from Abbey.... Is anyone else's claim listed at Chester CC?

Today received the statements on the second Cap One account I'm reclaiming charges on... here we go again...

Received statements today - very few charges on the card so hope they will refund as GOGW .... you never know............

Hi all I've received a response from Cap One about one of my two claims with them. They have refunded just short of £200 to the account as a GOGW which is just under a third of the claim. I'm still waiting for a response on the second claim. I am going to accept it in part payment only and give them 14 days to refund the rest. I received statements for one account (claim 1) just after last post on the 8th July and wrote to bank straight away asking for my money back. Ten days later have received reply advising me that as a GOGW £80 will be credited to my next statement. This represents about one third of my claim before before interest which is another £80. I'm going to write accepting as part payment only and ask for the rest. Has anybody else been in this position and what's the bank's next step? Cheers, Spring6.
