  1. I am just about to put together a court claim against Yorkshire Bank having sent them all the usual claim letters and having a cheque for £200 (which I haven't cashed) sent to me. I only have details of charges going back to September 2006, but I want to claim going back the full 6 years as they have repeatedly charged me during this time. I have read the thread on completing the court form which is easy enough to follow if I had full details of all the charges. How should I complete the form when I'm estimating the amount I have been charged based on the charges they have made in the last 9 months?
  2. I've submitted an estimated claim for over £2500 as I only have info going back to last September but I'm sure I've been charged fairly regularly over the last 6 years. I sent my rejection letter to the solicitors, changing all references to 'you' to read 'your client'. They should get mine this morning so the clock is ticking again. Does anyone know if submittig a complaint to the ombudsman has any affect on a claim? If not it's a useful stick to threaten the bank with as it I know it used to cost them somewhere around £500 whenever a complaint was referred to the ombudsman.
  3. Sounds very similar to the course my claim is taking, only Jeremy Sutcliffe & Co attached a cheque for £200. I have today posted my rejection letter stating that I will accept the cheque as part settlement. I'm not cashing the cheque unless they agree (which I don't expect). Isn't it odd that a firm of solicitors has the same address as the bank's Advice Quality Unit? I think they're trying to scare us off but they obviously don't realise we're a bit more determined! Keep in touch - I'll keep an eye on your thread.
