  1. Good luck. They will pay eventually, don't let them bully you. This site has got the anwers to all your questions.
  2. Thanks Freaky, sounds like a good letter, will probably use. I guess they don't read them, but it will make me feel better!!
  3. UNBELEIVABLE..........Just before leaving for work, the postman delivered a letter from DG. Blah..Blah...we could defend etc...........however, we are willing to offer an ex-gratia offer of £912.07.............The sneaky b******s provided me with a breakdown that I had only just worked out, for the sake of a few pounds, it was bang on what I worked out was now the correct figure. They quoted the hearing date of 2nd July, (I have had this adjourned until the end of July, which has clearly passed them by). This is proof to all those still claiming that even though I had clearly jumped the gun and made a few mistakes, that with the help of people on here (Lat and Celica in particular), that we are still winning. To think, I was going to spend a couple of hours at work sending ammended claims forms etc! Thanks again Lat and Celica. Can this be posted onto successful claims? HSBC Personal account Jan 2007 Claimed £900, settled for £800 Feb 2007 HSBC Business account Jan 2007 Claimed £924 + court fee,(would have done if I had the correct figures initially!) settled for £912.07
  4. Hi, thanks. I have done a qick calculation before going to work, and my claim wil be roughly chopped by about £700. I will have to ammend the POC asking for £706 + interest (£218 approx.)I will send the form to the court today and enclose ammended spreadsheet. Will also send a letter to DG, you never know, they might well settle now???????
  5. Thanks very much Celicaman. My original claim was based on total charges from my statements. It was via this and other threads that I realised i required the breakdown. Do I now need to amend my POC (How do I do that?) When i have worked out the new claim, do i send the details to the court and DG, or do I send it straight to HSBC a Canada Square? I have a notice of directions in late July (managed to get it adjourned as I am on holiday) - so I feel I am now a bit pushed for time. I really appreciate your time in this matter.... Paddy.
  6. Thanks for that, I think it may be getting clearer. Yes I do have the statements, so are you basically saying that I can't claim for the activity commission?
  7. Hi, can anyone help me with my last post???? Please??
  8. Hi, an update on my case.......I need some more help please!! Today I received a breakdown of charges!!!!!!!! or at least I think so. I still can't work out what I can claim for. An example of what I received as follows: Commission accrued from 02MAR2001 TO 31MAY2001 Debit int accrued from 02MAR2001 to 31MAY2001 Activity commission £79.92 Account fees 0.00 Overdraft fees £24.00 --------------- Total commission £103.92 Debit interest 90.97 I have never previously claimed for the interest, but what does the Activity commission mean? Can I claim this as well as the overdraft fees? Please help, I have managed to get my case adjourned for a couple of weeks!
  9. Hi, sorry about the delay in responding. I have been to my local branch twice, to be told initially that I should have a breakdown of charges already, and then that as the account is closed, that they were unable to print off in store.......I have today sent a letter to DG and to HSBC in Canada Square quoting SAR. I have sent a letter to the court requesting an adjournment as I am out of the country. Updates to follow.... Thanks to all those showing an interest, it does help.
  10. Thanks very much Celicaman and Lattie, I will re-attend the bank again and insist, quoting the Data Protection Act. See if that works?!
  11. Went into the bank today, and was told they can't print off six years worth of breakdown of charges, insisting that I should already have them with my statements!!! Celicaman, thanks for your advice on the other thread. Do you think that the court may discontinue it if I haven't got this breakdown, or the would the fact that the bank is refusing to give them help my case? Now that i have started proceedings, can i send the bank another letter re obtaining these breakdowns?
  12. Yes, I had my statements which stated "total charges" each time a charge was levied.........
  13. Hi, I am in the same boat, I have been unable to obtain a breakdown of total charges for my business account. I think I may have jumped the gun though - my case is due for directions on 2nd July. Will my case be thrown out if I don't have this breakdown? How would I go about getting this breakdown now? Would they give it to me over the counter at my local brancj? Hope you can help..........
  14. Cheers Jowalshy, yes I sent a similar letter on 22nd May, will be sending another in a few more days. I didn't update my total interest though, didn't know you could. I just sent a copy of my initial schedule. (I have to list total charges as HSBC have never sent me a breakdown of charges. Hace you had to pay the £100 fee to the local court...I have not been asked to??
  15. Jowalshy, thanks for replying. Only got the letter today, will phone them on Tuesday. I just wondered if this is a new tactic, and what would happen at that particular hearing. Having read through some of the threads, i was kind of hoping/wondering if DG would make an ofer prior to this directions hearing, or if indeed they would attend?????? Thanks for assisting me
