  1. Hello - I am in the process of applying for a mortgage, but something was flagged up on an initial mortgage check. I downloaded my credit report from Experian and there is a default payment on a loan which was taken out with the Natwest This happened in 2004 - I was over my overdraft limit and could not work as I was recovering from an operation - I explained this to Natwest but they forced me to take this loan out to cover the overdraft. The account is now long closed but this default charge remains (I also have to add that after looking through my bank statements, it seems that Natwest were charging me twice a month for overdraft fees - a tidy little of £60 per month) Is there anyway of having this default removed from my file? I would like to complain about the situation but fear that this will fall on deaf ears - The fact that this is now affecting my mortgage application after 6 years is making me both sad and angry!! Thanks
  2. Thanks a lot for that - Does that mean i can only claim for the Unarranged Borrowing Fee part of that charge and not the extra ADGD part?
  3. Hello All, I have just totalled up my charges from Natwest - and amongst the Unarranged Borrowing Fees and Unpaid D/D i seemed to have been charged an amount of £29 a number of times from Sep 2003. This charge only comes up as 'Charges' on the statement. Any suggestions as to what this might be?
  4. Thats exactly what i was thinking - It seemed rather lax to send a different person's account details to me. Surely this is a worrying occurance (especially for people with surnames like Jones or Smith!)
  5. Hello All, I recently sent a subject request letter to Natwest requesting my account details as i do not have them at the moment (They closed my account a couple of years ago). I supplied them with my Name, Date of Birth, Address and Branch that i opend the account. A week later, i received a small envelope from Natwest, i opened it and to my surprise was staring down at my Dad's bank statements! So not only had they failed to send me what i had asked for, they had also divulged the account information of a completely different customer (Me and my Father do not share the same D.O.B by the way). Any suggestions on the best course of action? How would the point best be put across in a letter? Any suggestions would be much appreciated
  6. Thanks to some great advice from people on here, i managed to reclaim all of my admin charges which had been applied to my Marbles credit card. I have signed the acceptance form and sent this back to Marbles. Upon checking my account this weekend, Marbles have paid off the outstanding amount on my credit card under the heading of 'Sundry Credit Adjustments'. The problem is, they still owe me over £600 of the total figure and my credit card balance is at zero. Has anybody out there had any experience of what methods of repayment Marbles would normally use? To be honest, i was expecting to receive a cheque for the amount to allow me to deposit it where i chose. Will Marbles just pay off any outstanding balances on my account until the 'goodwill fund' has been used up? Any suggestions would be much appreciated?
