Thank you very much for your advice. I still have the deeds for the property, should I just send them back and tell them to stuff them? I don't think there is any point in trying to give it away as all these timeshare deals are bad news today.

Same thing happened to me, conned into buying a timeshare in Florida, paid cash and have used it twice since 2002. Actually paid the management charges until about 5 years ago which were running at about 600 USD a year. Just received a letter from Meridian Financial services Inc based in North Carolina chasing me for an assigned debt of 11828.USD, which I do not intend to pay. I'm a pensioner now and on a limited income also. Any advice is gratefully received.
