  1. I can't believe its taken me so long to get it together and send off my prelim letter!! I'm sending it off today with a schedule of my charges to the CRU in Borehamwood. I'm feeling somewhat apprehensive with all the hype and all the stays I've been reading about....but hey ...you got to be in it to win it?!?! Here goes....
  2. The Bank Holiday may throw their systems out. DD's are automated and the whole process takes 3 days - so the company has probably just claimed on their usual day. You can ring and cancel DD's on the day that they are presented (Tues), you must tell them that they are being requested that day and they will return them unpaid. They should not charge for returning DD's not paid if they have been cancelled (even if same day). Have you tried bill payments for utilities? DD's can come out of your account anytime the Company chooses, SO's are set by yourself - might be an alternative, or can mortgage be paid over the phone with card. Find out when exactly the mortgage needs to be paid first!
  3. Thanks CJ, have read thru quite a bit on the various forums, will wait a few days for 2nd set of statements. I'm not sure why they didn't send both together. I've just finished my spreadsheet..looking at about £2k so far...didn't know it'd be so much!!
  4. Hi - I'm a newie, just trawling through my statements to see what I can get back of the money grabberss. I've sent off a DPA requesting info on 2 accounts, but so far only received statements on 1. Should I treat them as separate claims? Also, do I have to sent the Prelim letter recorded delivery?, I didn't on the DPA and they responded quite quickly...seems they are trying to get organised for they onslaught of claims!!
  5. Yey! Well done for sticking at it - don't forget to give these nice chaps at CAG a donation tho - it looks like they've helped you out quite a bit along the way:)
  6. Thanks guys, I was just hoping they won't remember me - need to start claiming from them too!! he he:oops:
  7. I've just received bog standard letter from (nice lady) Joyce Tudor following my request for DPA. The envelope was post stamped with Royal Bank of Scotland 83-00-01. I was just wondering if so, are they getting together to try and stand their ground?
  8. Hiya Lisa - I sent off my DPA and got same letter on 01 May. My statements arrived in a jiffy bag yesterday (03 May) and I'm just completing my spreadsheet for claiming back charges...they're mounting up!!! All the best with your claim
