  1. Just took the plunge,card cancelled,emailed swift sterling with repayment offer,income and outgoings list and asked them to contact me by email only and not ring my work as i will treat this as harrassment. Just time to sit and wait now.
  2. Im going to cancel my card the day before my payments due and ring them and tell them i cant pay and they have no permission to take any money from my bank account,i have online banking and my bank have put a note on my account saying no-one has any permission from me to set up any direct debits on my account,apart from my csa one thats already on there-if they do they will be stealing. Ive just got to do an Incoming and outgoing sheet to make them accept my offer-ill happily go to the county courts and have done it before,just want out of this mess!!!!

Im just about to cancel my card to get myself out my payday loan mess, ive contacted my bank and asked them to prevent any direct debits being set up on my account-but they said they cannot do this,the customer service guy said it takes 14 days for a direct debit to be set up and they only used card details to take payments(he had used wonga himself in the past!!!!!) I have a seperate account with hsbc but a 2000 overdraft with santander so cancelling the account is not an option-id just like to know has anyone ever had a direct debit set up on their account by a pdl company without their permission????? Id appreciate your help Thanks
