  1. Do you get company sick pay? If so then you are bound by those terms but you should get SSP which is only about £9 a day but its better than nothing.
  2. Trading standards for definite. You should have at least three months warranty from the dealer, I could be wrong but you should have come back. Or a big bloke. We done that for a female friend years ago and sat in the dealers office until he refunded the money. We were not threatening in any way or big and bad looking, just blokes doing a lady a favour. It worked, full refund a week or so after she bought the car.
  3. What is the software ? Does he want to keep it if he gets it installed correctly ?
  4. Hi. I hope someone can help me. My wife received a PCN 50R for tuning into a right hand turn whre there is a No Right turn sign. The sign is beyond the turning though so you don’t see it until you are actually on the turn or performing the turn. Does anyone think this is wrong and can help with stuff please? Thanks in advance. PCN1 is in advance on the right hand turn and PCN2 is almost on top of it. You can see in PCN1 that the bus obscures the sign. Andy
  5. So you all have this info, i sent my N1 form off to the court and it came straight back telling me i needed to specify what the Nationwide is. Well it turn out you have to put the word Mutual at the end of the name if you get the person who opened the letter, they are fussy and want that too. Best of luck all. Andytheguv
  6. Good day all. I am stuck with the N1 form. I sent it off and it came straight back asking for the following You must state what type of company the defendants are eg Plc, Ltd, 'a firm' etc. I thought the Nationwide Building Society is exactly that, a building society. 7. 8. Turns out a ‘volunteer or person acting through a network of friends through a web site or similar’ is exempt. Thanks invictus for your advice and prior warning. Always best to have the information up front. Now I just got to formulate a form for my mate to sign and the banks to agree to. Thanks for your help again. Andytheguv
  9. Thank you both for your advice, especially the one about Claims Management Service. Makes you laugh when only doing someone a favour doesn't it ? Well am going to look into it and not gonna pay £400.00 for the privillage of doing a mate a favour so I will see how I get on. Thanks to you both for your help. andytheguv
  10. Hello everyone. I am hoping someone out there can help me. I am currently trying to get bank charges back for 9 friends. The thing I am struggling with is I write the first letter, post it to friend to sign and post. We wait for reply and friend has to send on to me. They delay or forget and am not aware of the importance of the time constraints. Bearing in mind there is 9 people doing this, timing is going out of the window. The question ? Is there a form or letter I can produce which gives me authority to act on their behalf during the claim. I am sure there is but I want to make sure its worded correctly. Can anyone help please as I really need the letters from the banks sent to me and for me to be able to sign on behalf of my friends? Andytheguv
  11. I am trying to claim for bank charges for my brother and two mates. I am finding it difficult to compile the letters, send them to who ever, wait for them to post the letter, text me the recorded delivery serial number, track the letters, wait for replies and then the third party send the letters on to me, eventually. How do I, if I can go about being the contact person for my friends. Can I raise a letter/agreement to get them to sign that means the banks or organisations write back to me as opposed to the actual account holder. Please help , I got 9 claims going on at the moment and its hard work getting them all to be sharp with timings etc. Andytheguv
  12. Hi all and the guvnor if he gets to read this. I had a business account and as calculated by the marvellous spreadsheet from Vampiress I have been charged a monthly ‘ Referral Charge ‘ and once in a while an ‘ Unpaid item ‘ fee over that period of £1495.00 and with ‘ Compounded Contractual Interest ‘ on top equals £3004.43 @ 18.20% as per advice and spreadsheet. After reading many posts I understand that the interest is to be advised on the Letter Before Action but if it goes to court according to wording on the posts I make an offer of just charging 8% as per Small Claims. Can anyone who reads this please advise this is the right move as I had already sent an LBA a while ago, got wrapped up in work and doing life stuff and did not follow it up. Is it OK to send another LBA as I got a reply from RBS as follows : Your complaint regarding charges has been passed to me and I am sorry we have failed to reach an agreement with you. Please accept my apologies for any unintended inconvenience or upset. I note that a lot of the wording you use comes from the coverage that this issue has attracted in the media and on consumer group websites. I can understand this given the sheer volume of this. I have to stress that the OFT review of charges, which initiated this public debate, is concerned only with credit card charges, although in their statement issued in April, they suggested that similar principles may apply to current accounts. As a result, the banks are waiting for an indication of whether the OFT will now investigate current account charges and the British Bankers Association is, I believe, trying to progress this with them. In addition, the OFT has already said that their review and statement does not cover business accounts, which they accept operate under different terms & conditions than personal current accounts. Pending the outcome of the discussions as to whether the OFT will now review current account charges, I regret that I cannot agree to refund the charges applied to your business account. Advice would be helpful please anyone. Capital One Paid out in full = £40.00 Virgin C Card Paid £20.00 going for the other £20.00 Abbey Nat refusing, got to start over as I left it to long Alliance and Leicester paid £60.00 going for the other £40.00 RBS still going for £1495.00 THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT Andy
