  1. I wish to complain about the charge that barclys has made for a post dated cheaque I issued to the inland revenue in january. I ssued the post dated cheque ( 31/01/07 ) for £47518.17 to inland revenue and they sent to barclys plaistow branch london e13 on receipt of this post dated cheque the bank cashed oit immediately and charged £35 pounds into my account my salary goes to the bank directly every month. Instead of cashing the cheque on 31/01/07 they cashed it early inorder to get some profit to the bak . When I phoned to the manager he said it is there policy to cash the cheque immediately whether it is post dated or not.. If the bank has cashed the cheque on 31/01/07 there will be enough funds to pay the revenue. In my opinion the bank purposely cashed it in earlier in order to get some profit. I would be most grateful if you could give me some advice thanks
  2. I am writing to express my concern with a certain direct debit which has been taken from my account ( barclys)since 1986 without my knowledge. While checking my bank statement I noticed a direct debit of £10.00 every month. On contacting one of your customer service team I was told that it had been setup in 1986 which came to me as a surprise. I would like to see who athorized this payment as I have no collection whatsoever of this debit been setup. I have calculated the total amount withdrawn from my bank account to be in excess of £2000. Could someone advice me on what to do . Spoke to people at barclays who recommended putting a thread on this forum!
