  1. :mad2:Hi, can anyone please help! I have been chased by debt collectors for 9 years over a debt of my ex wifes. She fraudulently transferred her littlewoods account into my name. I can and have proved that the account was not in my name but the debt collection letters keep coming and i keep sending them letters basically telling them to stick it. What can i do to stop them?? I have written to the citizens advice but have not had a reply. I have really just about had enough of this now, will they ever stop!? Regards Darren:mad2:
  2. Can anyone advise please... I recieved a letter from citicards today advising me that they had served a default notice on me. I've been unable to make a payment to them for about 5 months now as i've been out of work.. I've just started a new job but their is no way i can afford to pay back the arrears outstanding. Also now this notice has been served, do they still charge the interest on the outstanding balance as usual or is this frozen???
  3. Hi, i'm being charged about £150 a month in exceeding overdraft limit fees on an account i don't even use... My Balance at the moment is -£329.36 just in fees alone. Should i pay this ammount to bring the account back in credit, then close the account and reclaim these charges or not???... bearing in mind that the charges are growing by the day!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Darren

  8. Hi, i've just had abbey on the phone offering me a settlement figure, so i asked them to put it in writing and to email me a copy which they are going to do this afternoon... My claim is for £3585.21 and they are offering £2819.00. Approx £750 short... If i decline the offer, which i'm very tempted to do. whats the chances of this actually going to cout and me ending up with nothing???? Any advice would be gratefully recieved. Darren:confused:

  13. Hi, can anyone advise me!!!? i've been having a battle with CER uk bailiffs for a council tax debt that i have already paid!! Today i have recieved a notice to remove good under a magisterates court liability order and also it says if i dont pay i may be committed to prison!!! Trouble is i have already paid this debit... it was combined with another debt but under a new account number and they are refusing to accept this.... I have written to them about 4 times regarding this and sent all the relevent letters of proof along with all the relevent account no's but they just keep on!!! The fact is that i have actually overpaid them by £100 as when they first contacted me i didn't have the relevent documents to hand so i made payment towards it of the £100, then realised i'd already paid it!! They are also refusing to acknowledge that!! I'm just at my wits end with all this and just don't know what to do?? HELPPPPPPPP!!!! Darren:-x
  14. I have 2 contracts with Vodafone for 2 mobile phones. The problem started when I commenced a contract for 18 months end of February. I was happy with my new phone tarriff etc. Then my new phone went faulty with the sim card, then again a month later no sound or screen available. when the phone was sent off I refused to pay £20 for a curtusey phone as this was introduced a week ago apparently, didn't feel I should pay vodafone for repairing a phone that was no fault of my own. This is a new mobile phone, I have had now for 3 months. I have had the phone returned fixed? nearly 2 weeks however now there is no sound!!! rang vodafone 3 times to which I'm informed that the phone needs to be sent for repair again before it can be replaced. My question is this .... I have honoured my contract, but have vodafone? as I am unable to have full use of my phone, and they expect me to pay for a replacement phone while mine is being repaired. I also wish to learn why I have to honour a contract which I have recieved no satisfaction with. I explained to vodafone I have been a customer with them for well over 12 years! this seems to have made no difference. I have insurance on the phone, but was informed it's under warranty, and the insurance is only for loss, accidents, and damage. What do I have to do to get a new phone? however now i'm so disgusted with the service I want to end the contract. Kathy

  17. I'm so sorry to have started a new thread but i need a bit of urgent help! I've just got a court date through and been asked to provide documents which i intend to rely on...... do i have to send copies of the first letter and the LBA i wrote to the abbey asking them to refund my money or just copies of statements and my schedual of charges??? Once again i'm sorry to start a new thread but i posed a question on my thread the other day and had no responce...
  18. Anyone help please!!? I recieved my AQ today and am a bit baffled as to what to put in the other info box (G)...I've been reading throught the quide to filling it out in the template library and the draft order for directions. Do i have to include parts C, and D in the claiments section or can i modify it, removing them??? This seem to be getting very confusing!!

  21. I'm in the middle of trying to get £3500 back off Abbey... I recieved a letter from their Banking Specialist Team today offering me a refund of £445 as a goodwill gesture but saying that the charges are fair, blar blar blar.... Can anyone tell me if they had the same sort of responce from them??? Darren
  22. Yes i have done all this the correct way, i sent them two of the template letters, along with a breakdown of charges and heard nothing in the time limits permitted. So i then applied to the court and then finally got a responce from the bank! Thanks very much for your help tho! Darren
