  1. Thanks for the advice Nik, I think I will be trying it myself, having rad a lot of info on it over the last couple of days, and much from here today. I did find a company that charges 15% - this was the lowest figure I could find, although am waiting on returns from two others I doubt they will beat that. I have been encouraged by reading some of the successful claims threads on here and it made my mind up to try it myself first. I like the way this site seems to have laid everything out in a straighforward manor, making it easy to find what info I need fairly easily, and reading up on other peoples claims against the natwest without too much more than the usual hassle off them makes me feel a tiny bit more at ease at going it alone. Guess I better get reading again to make sure I get everything in the right order - Paul C
  2. Hi there, just joined after googling for 'reclaiming bank charges' and finding this group amongst other sites. I heard about this from over hearing two guys talking about the subject whilst on a train ride home from work and thought 'I'll look into that!' Glad I did, didn't know there was so much going on. Questions I have - well is it best following the guidelines I have found on this and other sites, or getting one of the companies who advertise about doing it all for you? How long doe sit all take - or is that all dependant on how long the bank takes to respond each time. We both bank with the Natwest but at different branches. I guess I know where to start - being a father of two, and having a self employed wife - we are struggling quite a bit lately, and just looking back to October of last year can see 300 quid in charges - and knowing our past history I think we could treble that each easy from past times of struggling over the last few years, so first thing to do is get the last six years of charges from both our bank accounts.
