Thanks nettyg. Am so confused trying to take in so much info. Would be so much easier to see a solicitor and get them to sort this out for me but can't really afford it! Am so angry with the bank though but never really thought about arguing iot with them.

Hi I am wanting to claim charges etc from HSBC but I have a few questions that I was hoping someone could answer or if anyone had been in a similar situation. Basically about 5 years ago I had loads of charges etc going onto my account when I left my partner and got into a bit of trouble. I then had charges on charges etc and when I tried to request that the bank extend my overdraft to cover it until I got sorted (I explained my personal situation) but they refused saying I had no choice but to have a managed loan by them which I would pay back in monthly installments. Five years on I am still paying this back at £30 per month and still have about £500 left to pay back. I think the original amount was only about £1200. The interest rate must be really high although I can't find any of my original paperwork on it and I get confused by the stupid financial summaries they send through.:? Basically I am really annoyed that they forced me into this high interest loan when I had no other way out and I wouldn't have even have had to get the loan if it weren't for their charges. So, my main question is, can I claim anything back surrounding this issue aswell as my main claim and how would you suggest I do this? Thanks SheGod
