  1. Hi, I put mine on my spreadsheet to be attached to the LBA exactly as it is detailed on the statement. So if it said Unpaid Direct Debit Fee (3), I put that with the combined amount. Hope this helps, Emma
  2. I wanted to offer them a lump sum to get rid of them to be honest. I was just amazed at their offer since I think they probably bought the debt for about £150-£200.
  3. Hi divorcebabe Thats really cheeky of them! That has actually happened to my friend too. Welcome to the site! Emma
  4. Hi, Just to introduce myself. I am currently claiming back charges from Nationwide, Natwest Bank, capital One, RBS and Fashion World catalogue. I am also trying to sort out an old debt with Monument credit card. If anyone recognises my username I am also on penalty charges forum too. So, HI! Emma
  5. Hi All, I had a credit card with Monument and lost my job so i couldn't keep repaying them. My credit limit was £750 and eventually I think they sold the debt to Cabot DCA. They now advise me I owe them £1248 approx. To stop them from calling me continually I have paid them £10 a month for a couple of months. However, I am looking to repay the money at a reduced rate through a full and final settlement. Before sending a letter I rang to test the water and asked what they would settle at. The advisor told me the 'lowest' they could accept was £1100! I said that was too high and he said he would 'ask his supervisor'. Apparently she said £950 was the 'lowest' they could accept. I ended the call without commiting to anything and am just pondering what to do now. Any help or advice would be really appreciated. Emma
