  1. I Have Claimed Trhough Mcol, One Of My Claims Has Been Acknowledged But The Other Hasn't, For The Acknowledged One I Think I Just Have To Sit And Wait For My 28days From Issue, But I Don't Know What To Do With The Other One Because It Hasn't Even Been Acknowledged. Do I Start A Judgement On That One Only?
  2. I don't think you're being greedy, I've just done exactly the same, its going through court now, just waiting painfully for FD to respond. Weall want our interest back, they didn't think twice when charging us!!!
  3. I have received a 2nd offer from FD 85% of the original claim (without interest). It is noted as FULL & FINAL SETTLEMENT. I want the full amount after reading other people's stories but not sure which letter to send next. Is it court action or do i send another letter accepting as part payment hoping they'll offer me the final amount?????
  4. Feels like Nat West have tried to trap me!!
  5. eben meant been. sorry just a bit mad and typing too fast got carried away oops!
  6. Thanks Fendy. Thought I'd check to see if business accounts had different rules. My business account manager was not very helpful at all. I've eben trying to get away from Nat West for years as they have never been much use and have excessive charges. My only fear was that with a heafty overdraft other banks wouldn't be interested.
  7. I wish you lots of luck with your case!!!! You've got me fixed to this one to see what happens, 37K is a huge amount to be claiming, I thought I had it bad. I've not even managed to get my statements of Nat West yet so I'll keep checking your progress in the mean time. Hopefully there is light for us all!!!
  8. I'm mad. Why are nat west trying to charge me 30.00 for business account statements. Are they allowed to do this as everywhere else i have read say 10.00. Is this true???? HELP I NEED TO GET THIS SORTED AS I THINK IT IS LIKELY THAT MY CHARGES RUN INTO THE THOUSANDS!!!
  9. how do you know about all this then?
  10. do you have a claim ongoing or have FD paid you up in full?
  11. hi Michael thanks for your speedy reply i wish FD replied as quick as you did but the we wouldnt all be in here chatting so i guess it has its good points. so you think i should give it a futher 7 day after the 7 days i said they had to reply do you?:-?
  12. Hi All Think i may have made a mistake when i rejected the offer from FD my claime was for just under 8K over 2 accounts and they offered me just over 4k i said i would accept the offer but on the understanding that i would be taking them to court for the remainder but i only gave them 7 days from yesterday do i just wait and see what they come back with as i think i should have put 14 days before i file for court action or do i include the time it took them to reply to my initial request for my money back??? Dont know what to do someone please help!!!

  14. I'm in the middle of contesting First Direct's offer to me as it less than 50% of what my charges actualy are. However my friend who is with the Halifax has sent the same letter as myself and they have written back to her saying she must allow them 40 days. I'm thinking this is a blag because I told First Direct 14 days. I'm not sure how other banks work. But is this right to allow 40 days or should i tell her to push for 14?
