  1. I accepted an offer of £500 (Claim was for £545) over a week ago. Anyone know how long it takes for them to pay up?
  2. Hi, There is no specific overdraft amount stated on my bank statement although it does show overdraft interest charges and the "current monthly interest rate on your overdraft". I had a 'buffer' of £50 on my Woolwich account. I am reclaiming charges on £545 from the Woolwich, I sent LBC last week. I haven't had a reply as yet.
  3. Hi, My account with the Woolwich was recently switched to Barclays. Whilst I was paying in at my local branch a couple of weeks ago I was explaining to the cashier that I'd had to rush to get the money in to avoid being charged for being overdrawn, she told me not to worry because I'd got a £250 overdraft on my account. On Friday my acount Balance was £235 overdrawn, I wasn't worried because I knew I'd have £250 Child Benefit going in today. However, when I tried to withdraw money from the cashpoint this morning it would only allow me to take £10. I went into the branch and was told that they had no record of me having an overdraft! I said "so how could I be £235 overdrawn"? I explained that the money was Child benefit and its my daughters birthday tomorrow but all I got was "Sorry". Help what do I do, I'm in dire straits.
  4. Hi, I wrote to the Woolwich on 3rd March asking for a copy of charges on my account for the past 6 years and enclosed £10. They replied on 10th March saying "We are sorry you are unhappy with our service..... we will respond to your complaint within 40 days". I received a list of the charges totalling £545 on the 2nd of April. On 3rd April I wrote to them again requesting they refund the charges. Today I received a reply: "we are sorry you are not happy with our service..... we will respond to your complaint by 08 May 2007. Can anyone advise me on what to do now?
  5. Hi, I'm new to this forum and hoping someone out there can give me some advice. I have had a woolwich Current account for 7 years and recently decided to reclaim bank charges for the past six years. I wrote and asked for a copy of these charges and enclosed a cheque for £10. A week later on 11 March I received a letter fom the Woolwich saying that they were dealing with my request and that it would be dealt with by 4 April, they aslo returned my cheque saying that there was no charge for the service. However, the following day I received another letter from the Woolwich informing me that my account was to be transfered to Barclays in accordance with the Barclays/Woolwich takeover on the 18 March. My Woolwich account has now been closed by them and I have been sent a new Barclays debit card and account number. I haven't yet received a copy of my charges from the Woolwich. Do I still have the right to reclaim the charges even though they have transferred my account? Any advice gratefully received!:-|
