  1. Hi Thans for the info Mincemeat . No i never recieved any of what you mention above rory32. All i recieved was the standard you owe money, please pay as soon as you can or contact the office. If not then we'll carry on and take action. What exactly are Fair Processing Notice and Notice of Assignment. Sorry i am new to this. Thanks for your advice
  2. Many thanks. They do seem more reasonable than most i have dealt with. I think i can probably afford £50 a month. I think that does seem a reasonable offer. Many thanks again. Louise
  3. :-? :-? I have just recieved a letter from Legal and Trade about a debt i have with Bank Of Scotland credit card (£1800) asking for imediate payment. Now this has been passed on to them from Blair, Oliver and Scott. I was paying £150 a month but stopped as i could no longer afford to pay this. I phone legal and Trade who informed me that if i could pay today then i would only have to pay £1200 (how kind!!). I replied saying that there was no way i could afford that. I did ask about repayment plan and they did say that i could do it that way. Fill in a expenditure form etc. What i really am asking is if anyone has had dealings with this DCA as they do seem not so bad compared to a few i have dealt with. Any advice, help would be so appreciated. Thanks Louise
  4. Thanks PriorityOne. I will get the letter CCA out to Brechin etc. I'll do the same for Capital One (£2500), Egg (£5600) and bank of Scotland (£3000)
  5. Many thanks for your advice. Its a credit card debt to amex of about £3000. The last payment i sent to Brechin etc, was last month. I am a month behind. Also i was contacted by a company called Sterling Green who claim to be a debt management company. the man i spoke to said that they could reduce my monthly payments and i only had to pay one payment a month.? Any advice would be much appreciated.
  6. Hi all. i am new to this site but it seems a great place for help and advice. I am dealing with a Law firm called Brechin, Tindall and Oatts. I was referred to them via a debt to Amex. Amex first passed this on to AIC (Allied international Credit) Nice nice people (ahem) and then on to Newmans (liars and bullies) and finally on to this lawyers company. They did accept my payment offer of £100 a month but as my financial situation gets worse i am stuggling to keep up on the repayments. I have written them a letter stating that i can now only afford £20 a month. I have not heard anything back - i am just wondering what to do from here and if anyone esle had had dealings with these people?
  7. Purejane, I to had dealings with AIC regarding a debt i had to Amex. They are rude and will bombard you with phone calls (at work and at home) You can send out a harassment letter to them and ask them to put all thier correspondece by letter. see the letter template forum.
  8. Hi Pink22 I too have had dealings with Allied and they are agressive. I tried to set up a payment plan with them and they then told me that it had gone pasted that point adn that i should take out a loan to pay my debt off. After hundreds of phone calls which i ignored. I got a really scary letter from them saying that they would visit me at my home or my work. I then sent aletter back to them saying that no way would they get access to my home or my work. After a few months they stopped suddenly and the debt was passed on to Newmans and Co. They are ok (ish) and did offer a repayment plan. Good luck.
  9. hi All I have just joined this excellent web site! I had dealings to With AIC and i also found them aggressive. I would be hounded at work, on my mobile (voice and text messages) and at home. I owed American Express over £3000 and this was paased on to them. I managed to fob them off on a few occasions but the phone calls were getting worse. I finally stopped answering calls. (at that time i did not knoe what my rights were) When i did speak to them, a Mr Gilmore, he was overly agressive and would not listen to any offers i would make. So i basically just left it. It was then Passed on to Newmans and Co (were not so agressive) and finally to a law firm called Brechin, Tindall and Oats. Whom i am now dealing with. They seem to be much better and have accepted my offer (PHEW) and they only communicate to me via post. I would kike to hear from any one who may have had dealings with the Law firm Brechin, tindal and oats. plus Is Sterling green OK?
