Hi I owe HBOS approx £6000 on a CC on which i defaulted in 2008. Today i had a card placed through my letter box from an agent of CSL basically saying that he called and i should ring him immediately as 'this is my last chance' What should i do? Do i contact him? Do i sit tight? Advice please.................

Hello, I have been working in Singapore for the last 6 months and have totally lost track of what has happened to Bank Reclaims and what I should do now im back. In June I was sent all my statements that id requested and was have lost just over 8k !!!!!!! in charges! That was as far as I got. Now im back I would like to pick up where left off, but it seems it has all changed! aaarrgggghhhh anyone advise me what I should do now please!? All advice greatly received!

OMG !!!!! Finally after 3 weeks abroad, sat down last night and went through all my statements and i couldnt believe it!! My total charges over the last few years comes to......................... .............£ 8635.00 !!!!!!! How difficult is this gonna be to get back? Baring in mind that it obviously wont be heard in a small claims court!

Well FINALLY!!!! Received 230 pages of Bank Statements today (3 wks late)!! But am away on business now so will have to wait til the weekend. But, at, last the end of the road seems that little nearer!!!

Had a second letter off the Halifax today (two in two days)! saying: ''Further to your recent request for information on your accounts, as HBOS has decided to not charge a fee for requests of this type, a refund for the payment you have sent is enclosed. We will aim to provide you with the information requested as quickly as possible. We are currently experiencing a high number of similar requests and it may take a little time to process your request, however, I can confirm you will receive a response from us no later than 40days from when we received your original request.'' Is this becoming common practice now, acknowledging receipt of your SAR and refunding the £10?????? Anyone else had the same? Stuey

Well, actually got a letter off the bank today acknowledging my SAR request and stating that I should receive my requested information within forty days of their original receipt of my letter! (which is reassuring, baring in mind the number of SAR letters they 'claim' to have lost recently)!!

Believe me, if I have to go i will. Even if its just to watch them squirm!! LOL

Yes loans are not a very good bet !! I applied a couple of years ago for a 10k loan which they accepted. I sent the £49.50 cheque off and approx. 4 days later received a call from another lender who Yes Loans had sourced. I was at that point only offered 3k (7k short of what I needed!!) at a whopping 24%apr !!!!! I told them to stick it !! Just be aware they aren't what they seem!

Hi Can anyone advise me of my rights please. I recently purchased a piece of jewellrey online that was being advertised well below the expected price. Its fair to say that it was probably mistake on their part. However, I purchased the item, received confirmation of purchase and card debited for the said amount. The following day I received a call from the company saying that they had made a mistake and would happily sell me the item at the 'correct price' or refund my money back to my card. can anyone tell me where i stand? do i have any rights. all help welcomed........:-?

Hi all .... sent my S.A.R off today so fingers crossed i'll see my documents within forty days!! Can anyone tell me if there are any charges that I CANT get back? I can only think that the charges will relate to, DirectDebit Returns, Paying cheques sending me over my overdraft limit etc etc..... Also, The Halifax dont actually tell you on your statements exactly what the charges are for, it usually reads 'Charges As Notified.....£ XXX' Will i have to tell them what each charge is on my schedule or will an amount and the date it was taken out suffice? all help/advice welcomed....
