  1. Who would I address the sar to? Only asking because have previously handed paperwork etc in to jc at front desk, only to find out they've been 'lost'... I'm hoping they've still got the info, I just need dates for the benefit claims, otherwise I'm going to be hit with a £2k bill for council tax.
  2. Dont have a Statement of Price, it was hard enough getting this out of Welcome, sent them sar back in July last year, info they sent related to only car finance, had to ring them and chase up the loan info, and this is all they supplied....
  3. Yes it was a secured loan, taken out in Jan 2005 and settled in July 2005, was for £2500,
  4. Is there anyone that can help me draft a letter to send to Welcome to claim back the figures mentioned in the above post?
  5. Mine was handed to Lewis on 5th March apparently.... Yet to hear from them though.
  6. Oh yes, my default is as defective as they come...
  7. Nice default notice, just like mine and many others on here. DEFECTIVE!!! Have a look at the threads on here regarding defective defaults...
  8. Technically the termination was received, just not when it was issued...
  9. having read on other posts in this forum and other on here, regarding some people who have written to Welcome, or whichever company terminated after a defective default, and accepted the unlawful termination of their accounts, is this something that needs to be done, or is it 'optional'? And if it needs to be done, is there a time limit attached to it? I received a termination of my account in August 08, I didnt actually know about this until last year, July 09, when I received my sar back from them. So the query is, if I need to reply and accept, is it too late?
  10. Not made any payments since it was terminated, although did have a monkey on the phone last July, before I got my sar and found out they'd terminated it, trying to get me to come to an agreement over payments, agreed to make a monthly payment of £20, but they never rang back on the agreed date to take the payment over the phone as agreed, but nothing was put in writing.
  11. Is it worthwhile writing to Welcome and accepting their termination then? They terminated my account back in August 08, I'll happily write a letter to them and accept their unlawful termination, I have the same dodgy default ad termination as most people on here have.
  12. It'll be bargain of the century for me if things go my way lol
  13. Mine was the other way round, I paid less than book price, got a Glass valuation through with my SAR, shows price when new £24k, Glass' guide price at the time was £9800, and something like £8300 trade, I paid £7500! The car was just over 3yrs old when I got it, and had higher than average mileage. Ironically, it was a finance repossession, company I bought it from deal in a lot of repo's
  14. I did notice that where an Ad Hoc fee was charged, and Capitlisation appears above it, that the total doesn't change, only for the Ad Hoc fee... Also, I was charged a Mortgage Indemnity Fee, when it wasn't a mortgage but a secured loan, whats the chances of getting that back? What I've worked out so far that I may be able to claim back is - Insurance (979.79 - Insurance credited) = 342.29 Ad Hoc fees 60.00 Fee Rebates 384.04 MIF 275.00 Total 1061.33 Plus 8% interest for 5yrs? Does that look about right?
  15. I'm assuming all those of us with the same dodgy default and termination could use the tweaked version of this? If so, and this is probably a stupid question, but what sort of outcome could be expected? For example, could I reasonably ask Welcome to remove any interest they have in my car, and remove it from the HPI register?
  16. Can anyone tell me what the figures dated the 12/07/05 are? I'm assuming the Insurance rebate relates to PPI? If so, is it still reclaimable? And also what are the Fee Rebates?
  17. He took plenty of measurements, but tooth colour was his choice... I've had them adjusted but they still don't feel 'right'. I know I need to get used to them, last set lasted for 3yrs, but these are a noticeable difference in gum and tooth colour, they seem to sit higher in my mouth as well, and 2 of the back teeth protude and rub on my inner cheek. My last set looked 100% natural, these just look false, and its been noticed by friends that dont know which has been slightly embarrassing. I'll ring the dentist in the morning and tell them
  18. And in doing so, they wont have the ability to be able to pull out. I've had the same default and termination as you have, actually got 2 defaults and 2 terminations???, 1st lot dated July 2008, then 2nd lot dated from between when I sar'd them in, and receiving the sar in July 2009. No payments made since couple months after getting the car due to financial situation, which is now coming up to 2yrs, and apart from the defaults and terminations, along with an unsuccessful attempt at repo (car wasn't there when they tried) I haven't had any action against me. Although I now expect that to change as I was told by my local branch that my account is now in the hands of Lewis, as of 5/3/10, yet to hear from them though, assuming they write to the correct address, as the default etc from July 09 was addressed to an old address, despite them having the correct address as they sent my sar to it... I'm half tempted when Lewis do contact me to just beg them to take me to court...
  19. Surely if Welcome were to pull out of court, then you'd have the upper hand? If they wish to avoid answering certain questions and by doing so pull out of it, can you not then drag them back in to court to answer those questions?
  20. RE Welcome repo'ing a car, I haven't paid anywhere near a 3rd yet, but I was under the impression they cant repo it from private property without a court order? I'm hoping thats right, as I make sure the car is parked on our drive/garden and not the road, so they'll need a court order to take it? Can anyone clarify this?
  21. I will be sending a SAR to Igroup soon, but have a question. Shortly after taking out the mortgage, I changed my surname by deed poll. I don't think Igroup were told, so what happens when I sar them? Do I a) make the SAR in the name I took the mortgage out in, or b) make the SAR in current surname, and tell them of the deed poll, only problem I have now is that I no longer have the deed poll...
  22. I honestly cant remember, just that I remember having to post a load of paperwork special delivery to Truro, and that I found the number in one of the free ad papers. I know they arranged the mortgages with SP and Kensington, the Igroup mortgage was arranged by another broker, again cant remember who though, which is why I'm hoping I don't need to contact them, or if I do, that the mortgage companies will supply the name and address of the brokers...
  23. Sorry to drag up an old thread, I have a question relating to the whole commission thing. When I finally get round to sending off my sar to Igroup, Southern Pacific and Kensington, do I need to specifically ask for the underwriting sheets? Also, will I need to contact the broker that I used, as I can't for the life of me remember who they were, only that they were based in Truro, miles away from me.
  24. I don't know about anyone else, but my commision was paid for the loan itself and the GAP policy, £600 on the loan/finance and £87.50 on the GAP.
  25. Can anybody have a look at these and see if all is how it should be? Loan was taken out in 2005 and settled 6 months later. And the statement... Its the account that I hope to claim back the PPI and anything else I can,
