last Friday we had an engineer look at our boiler, as the water temp kept changing. After their visit, we were told the problem was resolved but they would have to return on Tuesday (today) to clean out the system. We went away an hour after their visit, for the weekend and returned back yesterday to find a leak had appeared, soaking into the join in our work top (corner unit) and this has lifted the worktop. We called BG last night and they said somebody would be out today to look at resolving the problem with the boiler. They have been here since 8-1230 trying to solve the problem. But my major issue is how do i seek liability from BG regarding my worktop. Im heartbroken and dont see why i should have to claim on my house insurance for something they have caused. Can anybody offer any advice pls.

Has anybody else had any success in claiming back hidden fees in overseas purchases. I made a purchase in the US and didnt realise Barclaycard charge 2.75% on overseas spend. Its hidden in small print on the back of the statement. I have been a customer of 30 years and ive had one letter confirming they will investigate, has anybody been successful and how long did it take? Thanks

Hello They paid up on the day i was due in court. i contacted Barclays direct and the money went into my account.

i sent my letter faxed back to them on Monday, They said the credit should hit my account this week. Do i still go to court if they have acknowledged receiving my settlement letter.Im due in court tomorrow at 10.00 as was assured the money would be in my acct before then? HELP:confused:

I think i've won. I just had a call from Barclays Litigation to say if they fax through the letter of settlement. They faxed it through and i have signed it. Thomas Hickey at Barclays v.efficient. Im £700.00 up.

i called Thomas Hickey at barclays Litigation who are dealing with Monument claims and he told me to fax through my schedule of charges. Call him ..sounded really friendly. He said i should get a letter from him soon. Told him the date of the court etc Call him 0207 116 4523 . I sent a copy of the bundle to Monument and he said it would be sent to him eventually. Fax him 01452 638 479.

Shoe, Im also in court on the 7th Sept - I have sent my bundle and now playing the waiting game.

Time line as folllows: Ack of Service 9th may, Notice of Proceeding 15th June (says they cross out the allocation quetionannire), receive letter to say Small track hearing set 7th Septmber. Spoke to court they said its still going ahead in spite of recent press. Can i confirm exactly what i need to include in the court bundle and do i send to Monument too?

On another note does anybody have the T&C for Monument pls?

I received a parking ticket for the first time at a spot i have been parking for the last 12months. There is a drop footway but its not connected to anybody's drive way in fact, in fact it looks like its randomly placed. A neighbour came out and said they saw the parking ticket issue tickets every day last week, where people have parked at that spot, and they dont understand why. The ticket states "Parked over the Pram Drop" but there is no sign to say this is a pram drop. Can i successfully appeal?
