  1. I suspect that you will have to play hard ball with them. I have never dealt with NDR but read enough about their tactics. If they won't take you to court (not seen them try yet) they will have to come to an agreement if you refuse to pay them. As for their fee it is laughable. You will just have to put up with the harrassment from them in the short term.
  2. Be careful with Cash genie - never give them your card details. They generally agree repayment plan then empty your account at the first opportunity. When you complain they tell you to go away! As long as you pay by SO you should be fine
  3. I would pay them what you think you owe and demand proof of anything on top of this. The CCA request is part of the Consumer Credit Act and they have 14 days to reply if you send them a quid. Probably worth it if they want to be silly. ultimately no proof = no pay!
  4. Good stuff, yet more evidence that Wonga are realising people will pay them back if they are reasonable!!
  5. As a QQ are an American company I very much doubt they or Muckhall will go near our courts, especially when you are honouring a repayment plan. Personally I would tell em to get lost. Typical Muckhall tactic to try and squeeze more out of you.
  6. Hi Lyndseyanne Reporting your card lost or stolen is a must. Then you can negotiate. Wonga don't normally use DD to collect monies by stealth albeit if you keep a close eye on your bank balance you can cancel any payments on the day they are presented. Once your money is safe you can agree a deal with them. They seem to be a little better these days for agreeing repayment plans if you stick to your guns. Good luck.
  7. I agree with Glo. A friend of mine refused to pay their charges and waited for DCA contact. He refused to pay them stating account was in dispute. All DCA could do was pass it back to WDA and he has not heard from them since. I am not aware of WDA going to court as yet, but could be wrong. I think you are being reasonable and a court probably would as well. Ultimately you have to deal in a way you are comfortable with.
  8. Clarity are reasonable people (compared to other DCA's), they will let you pay by standing order. You can never be totally safe when they have your card details.
  9. WDA try and get extra, personally I would pay by standing order and insist your offer is all they are getting. Their collection agents are quite toothless. Up to you but I would stand my ground - your offer is reasonable.
  10. Hi Kate Some good advice from Glo. Once your funds are safe all of these companies will have to negotiate. They will try and make you feel guilty and generally harrass you. But if you stand firm you will get agreement eventually. Don't agree to any repayments that are more than the original amount borrowed plus a months interest max and at a rate you can realistically afford. Only agree if all other interest/charges are frozen and they provide their bank details so you can pay by standing order/bank counter - no agreement means they don't get paid! good luck
  11. A new account is the only certain method of stopping them.
  12. They don't need your bank statements, Personally I think it's generous to even give them an I/E form. as for CFO they will have to negotiate or not get paid. Just keep a copy of all your correspondence. send them a copy of the harrassment letter (in the template library I think)
  13. Hi Money You have to put a stop to this. have a read through the forums of what to expect, I very much doubt they will want to see your case in court. You have paid more than enough. Make sure they don't take any more
  14. Thats the way Curly. If they want paying they will have to negotiate. CFO & WDA are very good for arranging plans when they can't access your funds. You have to be patient and accept they will get round at an agreement in their time. Not to say you have to agree any outlandish charges interest etc.
  15. Hi baileys You will need to keep trying to negotiate. They however nearly always agree to a repayment figure in the end albeit they are never keen on monthly repayments. don't ignore them though because they are one of the few firms that will try and take you to court. Stand firm and don't let them rip you off. Post again when you get an update from them. Keep a copy and record of ALL correspondence just in case.
  16. Firstly I would not give them your new card details. You could always reply to the text telling them that you have paid the interest. I would try and clear in the short term if possible via the bank. You could e-mail/phone but their customer service is lousy and it would probably make no differnce. As for any fines let them whistle!
  17. Probably just a threat. I think I would rather have my day in court than pay them the figure they want. I would be tempted to send then a 'harrassment' letter re the calls at work. Keep a copy of all your correspondence, I think Glo is right, doubt the DJ will be impressed by their tactics.
  18. Russ Don't worry about PDE, not much they can do. You are being reasonable as just sit back and wait for them. Things like bus passes always come before paying these lot.
  19. A payment plan is great but they will only stick to them if they can't raid you account. After they have your money they will not be interested in your protests. Sounds like you have this covered.
  20. Russ Providing you stick to your guns you should be OK with PDE. You are in control now and they will have to be reasonable. make sure when they are ready to negotiate that you have interest frozen and no charges etc. No agreement = no pay. Good luck
  21. Well done Glo. Just keep an eye on the bank account if you use direct debit. If you check on the due date you will be able to cancel if they try and take too much. Don't give them your card details even if you think you have reached an agreement.
  22. I don't think their is a specific e-mail that will get a response as they are well known for ignoring you. They will contact you when they are ready. If they can't get at your funds they will have to eventually!
  23. Personally I would stick with payplan if it is not costing you anything. With the number of lenders that will be persuing you some impartial professional help is not such a bad idea. However nothing to stop you doing it yourself if you wish. First priority is to make sure your funds are safe. A new bank account would probably make sense for you.
  24. First get that card reported stolen. Even better if you can get a new account. Personally I would deduct what they have taken from your original offer to repay. How are you paying Wonga? Have you set up standing order or got their bank details? If they have your debit card details you will be at their mercy!
