  1. Feel free to ask away. Bazza
  2. I would write a letter to them stating that as far as you can remember your vehicle was not illegally parked on this date and time and place as this vehicle registration on the ticket is not yours no need to give them your index. To assist your case you request a copy of the photograph's taken at the time etc. This way your denying the offence by saying that you cannot recall and asking them to prove that it was your vehicle and should be able to get a copy of the photograph to see if it shows your true index etc and if this photograph shows a date and or time on it. Also ask for copies of any original notes belonging to the warden made at the time. It is better this way rather than not doing anything about the ticket. If the index is wrong then they should not pursue it any further and the ticket should be voided. If not and they issue summons then you can produce this letter saying that the index is wrong you can't recall if it was your vehicle and that you acted openly and honestly by asking for any other evidence that supports your or the councils case. See what this brings Bazza
  3. Original contract from back in the 90's received from them in the post they have been trying as stated in the letter that was with this contract to deliver the statements by DHL who have called twice so far to deliver two packages. Have arranged for these to be delivered tomorrow. Then we will see how much they have scamed off me in the last six years. Baz
  4. When you say that they were written on by a Police Officer, this should not happen. If you are unlucky enough to get pulled over there are no on the spot fines in the UK. Only people who do this are Customs and Excise. Where you given a Fixed Penalty Notice in the form or a yellow ticket which had a £60 if realy unlucky then an enhanced one for £250 fine that needs to be paid within 28 days? If so you would get 7 days to produce and surrender your licence at a Police Station if you do not surrender this at the scene which is an option given. The FPN is then endorsed to act as your licence until the licence comes back from DVLA who get a copy of the ticket and add the points on. This is sometimes done in writing and has a code like SP30 and 3 points in the points column. (SP30 means speeding in a 30mph zone). If like you say the Police Officer endorsed your licence there and then this is wrong and DVLA will not have a record of your points. Valid for 3 years i correct and stay on the licence for 5yrs is also correct. No need to change addresses just ask for a replacement licence as photo card licence is not valid without the paper part. So you can say that it was washed accidently. Same charge fee for either way. Baz
  5. After a success with Lloyds TSB. It is now the turn of Natwest on two accounts. Letter under Data Protection act signed and stamped at local branch and copy in the Natwest Binder ready to build that court file. Role on the end of 40 days and the arrival of loads of statements. I may need a truck for these I was a bad boy in my younger years! Baz
  6. After a success agains Lloyds now it on to First Direct. Letter sent for Statements etc and letter back from them saying that they will be sent along with the £10 postal order un cashed. They say that they are providing this info free. Shame it will cost them in the long run. Baz
  7. Hello not new to the forum but have taken on Lloyds TSB and won total amount + Interest + Costs back in the region of £2138.61p. Started my claim back in May 07 with the letter giving them 14 days to pay up, surprise surprise they did not pay up and sent a standard fobb off letter that I have seen about the various sites, all of which seem to be on the internet for a common purpose, which is good and the main thing. To help everyone that is taking on the banks and nothing else. Eventually got a default win as lloyds failed to file their AQ and got a Unless Order and failed to action this. Guess they did not want me in court. What a shame as I was looking forward to it, had everything prepared and ready to print out in a court file which I built as the letters went to the bank and back again. Much easier this way and everything is together for when it comes to giving the court and solicitors their copies. Got a default judgment and then a letter in confidence, crossed the T & C out and sent it back with a copy of the Judgment attached. Eventually they paid into my account a few days after receiving this. I think a big thankyou should go out to all the free sites that help others claim their charges back as they are all there to help us get these charges back. As Surrey Police motto is Making Surrey Safer and this get changed to making Surrey Sufer by some. I think all the various sites should unit under one motto Making the Banks Suffer Baz
