Hi everyone I'm new to this site. Well I've been registered for a while and have written to my credit card companies and banks asking for money back. I'm in the process of the "before action" letter and also taking Egg to court. Sadly I can't take Egg to court YET because I don't have the money to pay for the court fees. I will be doing that in the next week. The charges I have incurred have mostly been due to mistakes on my part - not realising I was over my limit etc. But one bank did take £500 off my account in charges in one month because of the mistake of another party. I'd like to hear about responses people are getting. I'm basically not reading the responses because they can be intimidating. If they say "no" I just send the next letter off. One bank keeps phoning and I find them really intimidating. The person said "you won't get anything back - I've tried with Capital One". The person also said "we are prepared to give you back so much if you make a payment now". Basically they are panicking. If they're prepared to give something back then they must know they are in the wrong. I find it intimidating though so I'm keeping everything to letters. Joan
