  1. Hiya, A company called SpeedLoan did this to me twice. They took an unauthorised debit card payment so I immediately contacted Lloyds & told them this was an unauthorised transaction. Lloyds raised a dispute & the money was credited back to my account the same day. Cheekily, SpeedLoan did the same thing about a week later. Again I telephoned Lloyds and they did exactly the same thing as above. They also made sure that a block would be put on SpeedLoan taking anything further which worked. If Sky do take the payment I would try doing what I did above. Don't mention anything about it being an outstanding debt or that it will make you go overdrawn because once they hear that, they will be seeing £££££s in overdraft fees.
  2. Thanks. I've already prepared him a Personal Budget Planner for him to take to his bank tomorrow with a copy of this week's payslip (this is what he wants to do to see where this gets him first). If they won't budge then he will be taking all his wages out on Friday & will be putting them in my Lloyds Account. The only DD he has is for the Lloyds Loan!! He doesn't have a problem making the loan payments however, it's just paying the overdraft charges that are the BIG problem. Just one month free of overdraft charges may just help him to get back on track but...we shall have to see if Lloyds are willing to help him with this & are prepared to sacrifice their £100 per month of my boyfriend's hard earned wages!! Me thinks not!! PS. We are both now going to reclaim our bank charges as I must be owed at least £2,000 and my boyf £3,000!!
  3. But what happens if they don't accept this & carry on taking their charges out and making the account go deeper overdrawn? My worry is whether he will be able to open another Bank Account with a different Bank due to credit scoring.
  4. Hiya, I was wondering if anybody knows what the situation with Lloyds taking the whole of my boyfriend's weekly wage as Bank Charges? My boyfriend has now been put on 3 day working week by his employer rather than being mde redundant which only leaves him with £180 per week (as opposed to the £260 - £300 he was getting). At the end of the month Lloyds take £30 for his refinancing loan plus their £10 charge for the account, plus his Bank Charges (which range from £30 - £100 plus). He has to pay me £150 per week for his share of the rent, bills, food, etc. He's fine this week but next week, because he won't have enough money left to leave in the account for his loan & charges, Lloyds will take them out anyway and so this will make him go overdrawn AGAIN & next week's wages will be completely obliterated by the overdrawn amount. I was just wondering if he goes into his branch and tells them his situation are they still allowed to take bank charges even though they know his wages just about cover his rent & bills? We're already losing £400 per month & so it's going to be hard enough to pay rent & bills anyway without Lloyds adding to the problem and taking £100 whch could be put to good use. The only option we've thought about is if his wages go into my account so that Lloyds can't take them but I'm not sure what sort of problems that would cause with them adding more and more charges, defaults, etc.
  5. Hi again, I'm soooo confused now - I've just received a letter in response to my LBA telling me about the OFT test case & how this could take months to sort out but if I did still want to make a claim then they would apply for the claim to be stayed pending the decision of the OFT test case. Do I still issue or wait to see what happens. I don't want to lose even more money by issuing a claim that's not going to settle. Think I jumped on the bandwagon a bit too late :? xx Nicki
  6. Hiya, My boyfriend is up to LBA stage and I'm up to Request for Payment stage. Both letters have now been sent so I'm just making sure I know what's next because I know Lloyds take their claims all the way to Court. My claim is for £1,733 and his is for £2,343 - which has already been spent by the way!! xx Nicki xx
  7. Hi, I have now received a List of Charges so have sent my Request for Payment Letter together with a Schedule (without the interest for now). I'm also doing a claim for my boyfriend and he has recevied the standard letter saying "our charges are fair, bla. bla - no you can't have a refund". I've just been looking at the templates forum to see what the next steps are have noticed that I need to include T & Cs - I do not have any whatsoever for either mine of his Account - what should I do????? Can someone help me please????!! Thanks, Nicki
  8. Hiya, I've not received a response to the SAR so I've now sent off the chaser letter as advised. Not sure if they've chosen to ignore my request on purpose because I'm sorting my boyf's claim too and sent both SAR at the same time and he has now received his Schedule of Charges (albeit 2 days late!!). Will just have to wait and see!!
  9. Hiya, newbie here. I sent my Subject Access Request on the 15th May 2007 to my local branch & provided them with consent to debit a maximum fee of £10 from my Account however, I did not send this letter by Recorded Delivery. I calculate that they have until Monday 25th June 2007 in which to provide me with the info requested. As at today's date they have not debited the fee from my Account. If I do not hear from them by the 25th June 2007 do u think I should send this letter again but by Recorded Delivery this time and is there a better address to send the letter to rather than my local branch? Hope to hear from anyone soon!! Nicki:smile:
