  2. Thanks everyone for all your comments!!!! Am still really excited today!! Can't quite believe it's happened! There was a letter at home yesterday from Halifax, saying that they had intended to defend the claim but it is not commercially viable to do so and basically they said - here's your money!!!!! Talk about rolling over.......!! Keep on fighting everyone. Debbie xx

  7. By the way - how do I get the title changed to say that 'I Won!' ?
  8. No worries......Moneyhelp To all those still waiting and wondering, do not give up hope. I honestly thought that because my claim was large it would be more difficult to succeed, but it made no difference!! Keep up the fight - you will win!!! Debbie xx
  9. Thank you everyone - will be making a donation asap, cos without this site I'd still be poor! Will let MCOL (Court) know too. Debbie
  10. OH MY GOD!!!!!!! I WON!!!!!! 11. Hi Jazz Haven't heard from you in a while. Just wondered if all going ok? I'm still waiting to hear.......although there is a registered delivery letter waiting to be signed for by me at the Post Office!! Don't know if that's something to do with it all...... Debbie
  12. Hi Tilly Very well done to you!!!!! I couldn't believe what I was reading at first! Well, let's hope they sort mine out soon too. Enjoy your hols!! Debbie x
  13. Hi Tilly...... Am wondering, if any of us have lives to live or anything?!!!!!! LOL! Here I am again too........ Am playing waiting game too - Halifax have acknowledged claim and say they intend to defend all of claim (blah, blah, whatever..). They have until 20th June now. It just seems such a long way off! My claim is big too - way over £5k and so it will be interesting to see if this makes a difference at all. Take care, Debbie x
  14. Hi Owl CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I had to look twice at your thread title cos last time I looked you were still waiting - its fantastic news!! And WOW !! Halifax seem to be paying out a lot lately. Am really really hoping I have same outcome - I could do with all this being over! Halifax have til 20th June to file defence - I'll be watching my account!! Debbie
  15. Hi Corbechri and well done!! Your story interests me cos I started out doing it just the same way as you. Then I found this site and realised at same time that my estimated charges were way off and so once Halifax replied to my SAR and sent me the full list of charges going back 6 yrs, I then started again and used the letter templates on this site asking for all the charges to be paid back. Am now at court stage and Halifax have acknowledged claim and say they intend to defend all of it - I'm just hoping my first letter to them asking for the 'estimated' amount will not hinder anything now. your outcome kind of gives me a bit more confidence!! Enjoy spending your money! Debbie
  16. That's ok then - thanks for your help. Watch this space.......
  17. Hi Jazz Halifax had until 6th June to reply and I have now received confirmation that they have acknowledged the claim. They now have until 20th June to do something else - like pay me my money, would be good!!!!! Good luck, Debbie
  18. DOH!!!!! I realise what you meant now - but have put it back to the correct day and not all the interest amounts are the same as they were on original print out.......I don't get that at all. They are only out by about 1p in most cases, but does it matter?
  19. Just another question - have opened spreadsheet, but where do I change the date? LOL!
  20. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I have just received Notice of Acknowledgement from MCOL and Halifax have said they intend to defend all of claim, and so I hope I have the same outcome as you!!!! Debbie
  21. Have now received written confirmation that Halifax have acknowledged my claim. They ticked that they intend to defend the whole claim - which I think is what they do for everyone? Am I right in thinking that now I have to send a copy of the schedule of charges to the bank's solicitors? Now here is the thing - do I have to send a photocopy of the list I sent to the Court or can I print it from the spreadsheet I did, which will obviously mean the interest amount will be slightly different. Does this matter? Thanks, Debbie
  22. yep, big thanks to you all.....and I will be donating to the cause when this is all over - after I've had a VERY BIG drink that is!!!
  23. Oh and I've never done anything like this in my life...and it's only down to the fantastic support on this site that I'm even daring to do it now!!!
  24. I got the Notice of Issue and now I see that Halifax have acknowledged the claim (as of 26/5/07) and so they now have until June 20th to do something else (err.....do a song, dance, tell a joke....OR JUST COUGH UP MY MONEY would be good!!!!!!!) LOL!!! Still, 'tis better than the Halifax ignoring me I guess. Debbie
