Hi has anyone won by the FOS
cassie2006 replied to Youngblood's topic in Santander/Abbey and Cahoot successes
Hi Abbey called me last night with an offer of £4249 - my claim totals £5292 including my court costs - I have to call her back today and I don't know what to do. It's up to you but I think I'll try negotiating for a bit more. Good Luck Cassie -
Rachybabe Just read your thread. Please try to stop worrying - though, believe me, I know it's not easy. Hopefully someone else will point you to the thread but I'm pretty sure that if you are on benefits there's a way you do not have to pay for your claim. Good Luck:) Cassie

Can someone also advise me: I read somewhere (I've read so many threads - I've been on this site for 6 months ) that when talking to them you say "Without prejudice" before participating in a conversation. Should I say this?? All help greatly appreciated. Cassie -

Abbey Victim V Abbey ***WON***
cassie2006 replied to Abbey Victim's topic in Santander/Abbey and Cahoot successes
My AQ had to be returned by 11/4 also. Up to last Friday hadn't heard anything so I rang the court (Bromley CC). They told me my case had been transferred to Mercantile court (I think Bromley are doing this to everybody). Haven't heard anything since. By looking at other threads the census of opinion seems to be that this is a good thing. Cant help feeling jittery though:???: Hank on in there. Cassie -

Just this minute received the letter from the court "Before District Judge Brett sitting at Bromley County Court,.......... etc. Upon reading the court file IT IS ORDERED THAT The matter be transferred to the Mercantile Court, ...... etc. Dated 24 april 2007." Nothing else. What now - just sit and wait? Will the Abbey have got this letter too? Should I contact them? Any help very welcome. Cassie. -

Oh my God!! What if they use ME as the test case:eek: Anyway, after the week I've just had the Abbey are a walkover. My friend's son has been having chemo for the past year for a tumour in his mouth . His final chemo was supposed to be last Friday and things were looking good - the tumour had all but gone. Then last week he had a slight swelling and within 5 days it was back. They took him in hospital but let him home on Tuesday - nothing more they can do - he's 24 years old. Sorry to offload - but it helps:( Puts things in perspective. Cassie -
