  2. Posted the Letter Before Action yesterday afternoon, as they'd taken longer then 14 days... Got home and there was an offer for £200 (they OWE £405!)... Now, that offer said respond if you want it...but I've already sent LBA. Should I send another letter, or just let them get my LBA and respond in 14 days by suing their corporate a4s3s??? (I'm enjoying this getting my money back thing - can ya tell?!!)
  3. Afternoon! Sent my request asking for my £405 last week, and received a prompt response advising they are looking into it and will refer back to me before the 5 of September. So i just wait and then send second letter? (rhetorical question --- i'll read the FAQ when I'm not at work) ...hope it all hurries up cos I need the money to pay for a conveyancer when I buy a house! : )
  4. Finally, after resolving issues in my life, got round to sending the request for my charges to Barclays. Just wait 14 Days now and send the next letter. £405 coming my way. I hope - need it to buy a house - and it is MY money!
  5. Just received statements back - they only owe about £250 but it's my money and I'll be getting it back!!!
  6. Take 'em to court Bro' ...someone has to - it's a day out and a learning experience (and more than likely a pay day - although remembering the point, it is YOUR money in the first place - thieving muppets!) We thought we were paying charges but really the banks were just putting our money into a nice 'protected' savings account for 6 years. bless! ...I would love to see Barclay's in court! Power to the victims...I mean people!
  7. Just sent off DPA request...so the process begins. Wasn't going to bother with all this until I went into my bank skint and they refused to extend my overdraft...I'd gone £2 over that day from a card transaction and they charged me yet another £25 - so I thought well, why not screw the s*ds like they have me for the last 6 years! Thanks to my brother and this site... And remember - good things come to those who wait - unless you're a bank!!!
