  3. Thanks to you all. This really is the place to ease the stress! I have CCA'D them for good measure. If they call me from now on I am going to tell them that it is being recorded for evidential purposes if I decide to go down the road of harrassment and or malicious communications via the phone, i.e any message which conveys a threat.Let's see 'em sort that one out. 5. I have now received a card in the post saying they are going to call on Tuesday between 8am and 8pm. If they are not a debt collection agency and not bailliffs, if they turned up what powers do they have??
  6. I have been pestered constantly by a firm called R.M.A (Risk management alternatives, for an overdue payment on my MBNA account, who owe me charges, SAR sent. Got a phone call from them today and I asked who exactly they were, had they bought the debt ?etc etc. The clown on the other end spluttered and stumbled his way through the conversation, saying that they were the "collections department" of MBNA and were not a diferrent company. When I pointed out that the address on the bottom was: NCO Europe Limited trading as RMA Old Docks House 90 Watery Lane Preston PR2 1 AU Part of the NCO Group Of Companies He told me they are not a debt collection agency.Anybody know who they are? Can they legally chase this payment? They sometimes phone up to 5 times a day. I have told them to mark up their records as "In dispute" and CCA'D them for their troubles. Got to be worth a pound!!
  7. I pointed out that the registered office at the bottom the letter: NCO Europe Limited trading as RMA Old Docks House 90 Watery Lane Preston PR2 1 AU made no mention of being anything to do with MBNA. I was told they ARE NOT A Debt Collection Agency!! Now I'm confused. I have CCA'D them for good measure as well.

  9. Sent S.A.R on 13.03.2007 to: Data Controller Morgan Stanley Bank 25 Cabot Square Canary Wharf London E14. 4QA Received stroppy phone call today from customer Liason Dept asking for my security details. Told them that I didn't see why I should give it to them, especially as they phone from a withheld number. Anyway, I climbed down so as not to delay matters. They stated they are dealing with the matter as quickly as they can. Yeah, right!!!
  10. Trickytrish Thanks a lot. You wouldn't think I use a computer at work

  13. Stick to your guns! You only have to look at the success stories on here. The fact the bank has started to make an offer is a good sign. There will be someone to guide you, I am certain of it. Good luck.
  14. Are Payment Protection Insurance Premiums unlawful? Has anyone ever claimed them back??
  15. Having taken the bull by the horns , I am now on a mission. I cant believe how much I have paid in PPI on various cards. Have these been found to be unlawful and has anyone claimed them back? Glennyboy
  16. Thanks Kenny. I thought that may be the best course. Just needed confirming. And am now not talking to anyone on the phone. always asking security questions etc. Not in this day and age!! Going to need a new printer and hard rive at this rate!!
  17. After some very bad personal circumstances I ended up owing Goldfish £6025. I went through a nervous breakdown and couldn't cope, full stop. I ignored them , moved and tried to restart my life. Stupid I know but different people cope in different ways and debt doesn't always come to the top of life's priorities. I have now started to get a grip of things I am nibbling away at all debts. I have now realised that I am owed charges from all my previous cards and banks and I could clear a large amount of my debt with the help from this site and the brilliant people on it! Wescot contacted me in August 2006 and made various threats to take me to court for £6025 plus £350.00 legal expenses. I was badgered into paying £50 a month and have been ever since. It's a struggle to pay this. I now realise, since joining the site, that a good part of this debt is made up of unlawful penalty charges and the interest on them placed on the account by Goldfish. I take it Goldfish have sold the debt to Wescot? Am I now hooked into this repayment or can I do anything to get the debt reduced. I am terrified they will send bailiffs around or lose me my house if I have a bad month and can't pay!! Any ideas /suggestions? Glennyboy
  18. Am about to claim my charges back from my RBS ADVANTA credit card for the last six years . Does my request go to Southend or Edinburgh ?
  19. Anyone got the DAR address for Morgan Stanley. Doesn't seem to be on any of the lists here. Cheers Glennyboy
  20. Nearly four grand? Good effort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! glennyboy
  21. Well, I'll know in future. I think I'll still slip it into my claim and see what they say. So hard to deal with things from years ago, and no websites like this. Onwards and upwards!!
  22. Hi everyone, I am new to this, but reckon I am owed about £18000 by various institutions. Can't believe how naive I have been! Anyway, one of my targets is Co-Op. I have just been looking through some duplicate statements sent to me during my divorce in 2003. One communication states: Thank you for your recent request. I enclose 40 copy statement(s). A charge of £250.00 has been taken from your account. Was this right at the time or was data protection different then? Can I claim it back? Seems excessive to me. Glennyboy
  23. Brilliant , thanks for your help. Glennyboy
  24. Sorry, I have spent hours reading the stories on here and my brain is fried. I sent a request for the last 6 years charges today. When I get the info I will know how much to claim ( I'll think about interest at that time!). By "filing the claim" do you mean the day it is sent to Court or sent to the bank/building society? It seems to be a bit of a flexible sum, with ongoing costs etc. Glennyboy
  25. I am just about to get stuck into various banks and credit card companies for a total of about £18,000. If I start the process on a set day i.e 06/03/2007, is it a rolling six years?? I am worried that if some of them spin it out for ages it will cost money that I am entitled to. Glennyboy
