  6. Sent the following letter: Dear Mr Higley ACCOUNT NUMBER: ******** Thank you very much for sending all the statements for the above account since its inception. However I attach a copy of the original letter sent to Mr Lyons and respectfully request that you provide the correct and complete information. If I’d wanted just duplicate statements I would of simply telephoned and asked for the duplicate statements.   7. Just received this morning six years worth of statements. However, I used the template letter found in the libarary. Am I being a thick Geordie here or are Natwest extracting the michael by just sending me the statements and not the specific data and information asked for? I would appreciate any advise and my next course of action. Many thanks

  9. Ahh, isn't hindsight a wonderful thing! I realy thought that Black Horse would "commend" me in taking a responsible approach: I'd had the car for just under half of it's agreement life, the company I'd worked for had gone bust, I wasn't sure just how quick a new job offer would come along and I didn't want to get into debt with them so I thought it was best to give them the car back. I'd just spent 5 years sorting out financial problems that my ex left and really didn't want to find myself back at square one again. Like I said, don't like believing in conspirisory theories but all I know is we had an excellent relationship with our old manager, he got promoted, new mananger comes in, nothing in our circumstances changed, if anything they got better due to a promotion at work, better basic, more commission, more money being paid into our account, and the whole relationship with the bank went sore with this new guy in charge.   11. Cakey, they don't even have the decency to SEND you a letter anymore!!! It's like rubbing salt into the wound. I could never work out how the letters cost £30ish in the first place but presumed they must otherwise how could they substantiate the charge. Then they stop sending letters AND put their charges up!!
  12. I've read with huge interest your postings about DPA and the way the banks seem to try to ignore the request or give as liitle information as possible. Am I right in saying that they have to also release any "notes" or "comments" made on any of my accounts by any of their employees relating to me? I try not to believe in conspirisy theories but I swear the manager at my local branch has caused me unnecessary problems with other departments and the business section. I would dearly love to see all information held on file pertaining to myself and all of my accounts.
  13. As previously posted, I have a default on my credit file by Black Horse. This came about due to the company who I worked for going bust and me handing back the car I drove to Black Horse - received monthly car allowance. I genuinelly thought that this course of action was responsbile of me as I didn't want to get into debt with them!!! Black Horse came back to me months later and demanded £11,486, I argued that I owed them around £2,000, possibley, I was just under half way through the agreement. Black Horse immediately lodged a default on my account for £11,486 and basically ignored

It's a bit embarrassing to think that for so long now we have a rolled over and accepted these charges: sure on the odd occassion we may of made a fuss at the counter only to be ridiculed by the staff when we leave. We have probabley all sat on hold for a good half an hour to their customer nonservice department on more than one occasion. Some of us have probabley even sent strong letters to them, but, overall, we normally just curse under our breathes when we get hit off these charges and think it MUST be right.   15. Don't worry, I'm not looking for marriage guidance or shoulders to cry on!! How do you stand when contacting the bank asking for DPA on a joint account where you have since split up with that person? If it means that I would: 1) Have to contatc my ex to discuss with her 2) Share any refunds with her THE BANK CAN KEEP THEIR CHARGES!!!!!
