  1. Hi Guys It would probably be quicker for you if you go via abbey's registered address in triton square london. a court bundle is basically everything with regards to evidence etc you are going to use if and when you actually get to court. You will find various links through the templates etc. It is vitally important you start looking at this info and tailoring it to your own circumstances especially with what is happening in birmingham and hull. good luck with your claims and don't let them get away with it!! 2. Who should I make a formal complaint about welcome to? i admit due to financial problems i have been ignoring/avoiding them, i agreed to make a payment to them today, they turned up at my home an hour and a half before the agreed time, while i was walking to the bank " as they were in the area ", after explaining where i was going they picked me up and took me to the cash point!, they have been calling me at work and my boss is starting to ask questions... I know not talking to them isn't a smart thing to do, however this is the 2nd refinancing of a loan, i think i should have learned by now, despertate situations called for desperate measures unfortunately though! Any advice or comments?? Thanks!! Geordie101
  3. I've sent my LBA to shAbbey with the Consumer Credit Act 1974 part attached. I've had the usual fair charges blah! blah! blah! response.... Not being very eloquent or knowledgable in the art of getting back what belongs to me from banks, could anybody help with the wording of my court papers etc. or advice/buddy through the next steps, i've calculated i'm owed about £9k and getting back even some of this money would be a huge help. First point is now I've had the knock back letter, how and who do i make the complaint under the 1974 act too? Could anybody who has got their money from Abbey back pm me their forms?? In hopeful expectation!! Geordie101
  4. Thanks Smoothy, will send for the SAR. I'm certain they've added lots of charges. As soon as I get the SAR back hopefully I'll know how much!!! Geordie 101
  5. Welcome more like welcome to my money forever..... Like everybody who has gone to welcome I went to them as nobody else would help. Due to the illegal actions of my then bank I missed a few payments, to cut a long story short they offered me another loan to cover my account (initial loan, interest and charges) at 1% interest, this allowed my monthly payments to become less but extended my repayments. Now I realise I was a bit naive but at the time things were a bit desperate and I agreed as I couldn't see any way out. Financially things haven't improved greatly and am still having problems repaying the loan although I can now see a little light at the end of the tunnel. Getting Welcome off my back woul bring that light a lot closer Any advice as to what I should do appreciated Geordie 101
  6. While I was in financial difficulties, I took out a loan with a lender at an extortionate rate of interest, but desperate times needed desperate measures this money was swallowed by abbey's charges. Due to abbey's charges leaving me little to live on I missed a few payments and the loan company added their charges etc..... It got to a point where they allowed me to take out a second loan to cover the debt etc on the first at only 1% interest. At the time I felt I was in a corner with no way out and agreed. needless to say I now have to repay a hell of a lot more than the £1500 I borrowed. My question is can I claim damages from Abbey as if it wasn't for their charges I would have either not needed the loan or at least would have been able to repay on schedule or can I make a claim against the loan provider? 7. Hi Matt Sending my LBA to Abbey tomorrow, They owe me a little over £8k and as you seem to be a little further into the process I'll be watching your posts with interest. Geordie101
  8. Thanks mariejader Geordie101
  9. I've sent the first letter to Abbey asking for my charges back, a little over £8k incl interest. I've received a letter back the "sorry you've got a complaint, we're investigating but it could take 4 weeks!" I know I don't have to give them 4 weeks and don't intend to, I've looked at the letter library and am a little unsure if the letter before action is appropriate or how to amend it to acknowledge their letter but tell them I'm continuing the process on my timetable not theirs. Any advice appreciated

  14. A quick update, received a letter from abbey today acknowledging my "complaint" stating they may need 4 weeks to investigate. Do I have to give them 4 weeks or can I proceed with the timescale I set out in my letter to them, 2 weeks to refund the money?
