    Help needed

I would be grateful if anyone could offer assistance to me regarding refund of my bank charges: History: I wrote using the template on the 'Fool' website requesting a full refund of my bank charges from HSBC Bank on the 11th February. The bank would have received this letter on 13th February as I sent it by recorded delivery. I heard nothing, no acknowledgement at all so I telephoned the branch on 23rd February to be told that they had forwarded my letter to the quality service team. I was told to wait a few days and then phone them. I phoned this team on 23th February and was so cross to be told that they had sent it back to the branch as I needed to detail the amount, date and type of charges that I was claiming back. (In my letter I had simply put the total amount). I telephoned the branch to complain that no one had bothered to telephone or write to me to tell me that I needed to supply this information. The representative agreed that it wouldn't have taken much for them to telephone me. On the evening of the 26th February I sent all the information they required in a spreadsheet via email to the quality service team as they suggested. I did not have any acknowledgement so I called the team today and they said they would telephone me back when they had found the mail. After a while they eventually found the email and told me that I would get an ackowledgement via email today which I haven't received! They also said that they would write to me within four weeking weeks (20 working days) and if they hadn't managed to resolve the issue within this time it would be eight weeks until a resolution. They said the email would contain information about the FSA website. I dont know what now to do - wether to wait for this letter or to send a second later saying that I will take action. The 14 working days that I gave them to reply in my original letter is up tomorrow (2nd March). I am incandescent with anger that at no stage have I received any communication from the bank regarding this matter and I feel that they are using delaying tactics and have a don't care attitude. I look forward to your advice. Regards Jayne
