I have actually registered for online banking where i can view all of my statements and have already calculated how much nationwide have charged me for unauthorized overdraft fees and direct debits, so im not sure wether I need to send off for the statements but I will anyway I want to do everything properly, thanks so much for your help!
  3. hi all, ive been told by my dad that I should try to claim back the hundreds of pounds ive paid out over the last few years in unauthorized overdraft fees and failed direct debits, but im not sure if my case is different to the people that have claimed back their money so far. i was not just a bit over my overdraft limit when the charges were made i was actually about £300 over so i was wondering if anyone out there could tell me wether nationwide were actually right to take these fees month after month? i really dont understand any of this i dont even know why they charge you for being over your limit. when i went so far over i was 18 and although the overdraft was unauthorized my card still worked and i stupidly kept using it, but i feel really angry now that no-one at nationwide told me about these charges or helped me by setting up some kind of repayment scheme. if anyone out there can help me by saying wether i am within my rights to try to claim this money back or not please reply, thanks
