  1. Hi just to say hello and to let anyone who is worried about challenging the banks on charges, keep with it and persevere. We were owed £1442.00 in default and maintenance charges the majority of which was over the last 18 months when hubby's plumbing business was in trouble. The RBS was great while they were getting money from us and selling us their "products" but as soon as we hit financial difficulty they were very unhelpful. I asked the local bank manager about refunding charges the end of last year and he refused point blank. However i decided to take matters into my own hands and followed the information given out on this site. (with plenty of trepidation i might add). It has taken 6 weeks in all but we received a letter with an offer of £1346.00 yesterday and have accepted this. So please do not give up there is light at the end of the tunnel. The Bank's good sense will prevail!!!!
